From A Quarter to Tea

Vanilla custard, bananas, strawberry and a hint of caramel and chocolate come together to make this creamy, fruity dessert tea.

Excellent iced as well.

Cold Brew Sipdown (711)!

Tasted like fake, artificial banana – sort of like those banana marshmallows candies, with chocolate sundae syrup and a refreshing cream and hay undertone. That might sound like a negative review, but it’s not – all of those things are delicious to me and I really liked this tea!

Sample Sipdown!

It’s my second white that I’ve had the first was also from this company. Also my second time trying a tea from this company. This one had more flavor than the other.
I prepared this according to the instructions and added a hint of sweetener but no milk.

This tea is really interesting. It’s fruity but different than the fruity tea’s that I’m used to as I’ve never had banana in a tea before or strawberry. There is a floral note that appears just under the fruitiness. As someone else said there’s a slight custard note at the end of each sip. There’s notes of straw that appear in each sip as well probably from the white tea base I would assume. This tea is also quite creamy as well. I would definitely recommend it. It’s very unique and has quite a few different notes of complexity to each sip.

Tastes of strawberry, with a hint of vanilla and caramel syrup. I wish the banana was more noticeable.

I wanted to write a more detailed note before finishing up the sample but my mother stole my mug so.. Maybe next time!

Edit: I walked into the room my mother was in to see she had fallen asleep and left this tea mostly untouched. It’s cold, but now it’s mine again. This cup is has vivid caramel flavouring, with smooth vanilla strawberry cream, with a hint of banana. It’s pretty tasty; glad I got the chance to try it again!

Drank this the other day and while it was alright, the flavours were nondescript. I was recovering from a cold, though, so maybe that was part of the problem.

Thanks Evol Ving Ness for the sample!

I really enjoy white tea, and this one was good. I didn’t find that banana was very prevalent which is ok with me because I am not a huge fan of hot banana. I found the most prominent notes to be custard, strawberry and caramel.
I am going to cold brew the leaves as well because I think these flavours will be good cold.

UPDATE: I cold brewed the leftover leaves and the flavouring was mostly absent and it just tastes like cold brewed white tea. I will likely cold brew the rest of the sample.

I don’t mind banana flavor, I just hate the slimy-fibery feel when I eat the fruit…so this sounds pretty tasty to me!

Lol, I love the fruit but I don’t like it hot!

Sipdown (151)

I figured with all the old teas I have been working on, I should try something new. I first tried this when it was freshly brewed and wasn’t too impressed. Then I got held up with a phone call from a friend from Montreal and now a second call from my sister. I grabbed my cup to take a sip and the tea had completely cooled down. To my surprise, this brought out a whole bunch of flavors. The base, though present, moved aside, leaving room for a caramel banana goodness to take over. There is a berry essence from the strawberry floating in the cup, not the most prominent flavor but enough to help see the idea of banana split. A sweet and creamy custard underlies each sip. It’s interesting how temperature can make such a difference given that I was going to write this off when hot but now having it cooled, I am enjoying it significantly more.

free sample in my Q2T order that finally made it! woot woot! Through no fault of Lauren’s, the post office in Chicago decided they wanted to keep my order. She was awesome and resent it to me so it’s here! it’s here! woot woot! i’ve tried this one before but it was nice to try another round of it. I always want more banana, but i do enjoy the flavouring in this one..mostly banana and strawberry..but totally delicious!

Onwards with the sample binge. I could always use more banana teas in my life. This didn’t have as much banana flavour as I would have liked. Quite subtle. It’s interesting to see it paired with White Peony. Great idea! I didn’t get any strawberry, maybe because my sample had one little piece of freeze-dried strawberry, and maybe a hint of caramel. This could be a great tea if the flavours were elevated.

This is interesting – not quite what I was expecting. (ummm Dex you should read the description so that you KNOW what it’s suppose to be not what you ASSUME it should be)
This is really good but my absolute first thought was – where’s the chocolate? – but if you read the description it says caramel not chocolate. :(( Oh well that’s a personal taste thing not a reflection on this tea.
There is quite a bit of banana here and some strawberry and it’s creamy (I added milk to accentuate that) – the caramel comes through more as it cools (I’m going to mention again I wish it were chocolate….). I’m not sure I’m getting the vanilla.
There is nothing wrong with this – it’s advertised as a “creamy, fruity dessert tea.” and that’s exactly what it is. I’m perfectly happy drinking this – it’s fun. :))
