As popular as our White Chocolate Raspberry Shou Mei was, I expect this one might even be more popular. Our premium shou mei white tea blended with white chocolate chips, lemon myrtle and organic white chocolate and lemon flavors. This is a gorgeous blend of sweet and tart that suits the hay-like shou mei beautifully.

Cold Brew Sipdown (136)!

Sample comes from VariaTEA! Personally, I didn’t like this one much at all. The lemon flavouring in it strongly reminds me of the other lemon flavoured blend that my darling tea twin sent me, which I can’t remember the name of right now. It’s very harsh and pithy/bitter while also having a strong artificial/“Pledge” like quality. Also, no white chocolate flavour to speak of…

And I can’t blame today’s string of poor tea experiences for the bad flavour; I drank this one a few days ago. I suppose whatever flavour is being used for the lemon flavoured blends just personally doesn’t work for me.

Pledge tea is a huge disappointment. I love lemon but when the flavouring is like that it’s one of the ickiest experiences I can have with tea XD

VariaTEA

Yeah, I am not loving these lemon blends either which is sad because they sound amazing in theory.

Ick! Artificial Pledge lemon! :(

Sweet Sipdown!

I don’t remember liking this one all that well when I had it the first go around but this time I’m really enjoying it. The sweet white chocolate and the tart lemon are giving me a flavor I’m devouring this morning. Yum!

This was one of my new teas I was most excited about. I brewed it up and there were a whole bunch of chips in my filter. However, I swear they were little meringue hats instead of white chocolate chips. Anyways, whatever they were, they left a but of scum floating at the top of the tea that looks unappealing but isn’t completely intolerable when drinking. Tastewise, it’s nice though it won’t be replacing some of my favourite sweet lemon teas anytime soon. I am not exactly getting white chocolate more like a meringue (hence why I thought it was meringue hats in the strainer) and there is a soft lemon at the tail end of the sip but I can’t determine if it’s lemon pledge or lemongrass. At the end of the day this tea was enjoyable enough.

This one sounds really interesting; though I have a hard time believing it could ever fall in the middle of “WOW SO GOOD” and “I have to spit this out right now”.

I will put some aside for you so you can give it a try :)

I’m a bit disappointed not to see any white chocolate chips in my pouch though that might be because of the small quantity of the tea. It’s not bad, there’s just the right amount of lemon flavour in this tea, though the white chocolate part comes across more as a vague creaminess than more than anything actually resembling chocolate. It’s an alright tea, I suppose, but there’s room for improvement with this one.

Brewed this one at work today and found the lemon to be mild which was great because I was able to taste the white tea come through. This was a rather nice tea :)
One person said it was their favorite and another said it tasted like Pine cleaning agent… but I get to make the final say because I am the tea guy :)

It was pretty good…white chocolate always feels a little oily, so I don’t like that, but by and large it was a pretty good and refreshing tea. White tea base was a good choice for this combination.
