This tea makes an absolutely delightful iced tea that is just as pleasing to the nose as it is to the palate. The flavors of orange & anise meld beautifully with the hint of vanilla. It’s so good!
Tea of the Week for May 6, 2024!
This tea is so good! A rich black tea blend of Assam & Yunnan – softened with a kiss of vanilla bean & then made even better with a spicy note of star anise & a bright note of orange. This tea makes a delicious hot tea – perfect for afternoon sipping – but it really shines as an iced tea! So refreshing!
The flavor is so smooth, with underlying tones of juicy orange & warmth from the notes of anise. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever tasted – deliciously different! It’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free & allergen-friendly!
organic ingredients. Black teas, oranges, star anise, vanilla bean & natural flavors
to brew: shake the pouch well before measuring. Those tiny vanilla beans like to settle to the bottom of the pouch and you want some of that goodness in your measurement! Use 3g of tea to 12oz of nearly boiling water (205°F), steep for 3 ½ minutes, strain & allow to cool or for at least 10 minutes. Enjoy!
serving suggestions: as I mentioned above, this tea tastes great served hot, but it really makes a stunning iced tea. I like hot-brewing it & allowing it to cool completely before refrigerating for a few hours. You don’t need sweetener, although I do find this absolutely lovely with a drizzle of honey.
