From 52teas

Tea of the Week for July 25, 2022!

A sweet blend of our organic, naturally caffeine-free green rooibos & a medley of fruit flavors (coconut, peach & blood orange) plus a hit of caramel essence (don’t worry, it’s vegan!) to create a luscious, dessert-y cuppa. The caramel notes are up front & center, with mid-notes of coconut & peach. The blood orange offers a hint of brightness & a citrus-y note that weaves its way throughout the sip. The finish is sweet yet tangy.

Not only is this one of the tastiest teas I’ve made this summer – & I’ve made a whole lot of yummy this summer! – but it’s also vegan, gluten-free, caffeine-free & all natural!

organic ingredients: green rooibos, coconut, peaches, blood oranges & natural flavors

Sipdown! I’m getting strong creamy coconut notes from this today. I planned to wait until it got cool so I could have it as a fruity iced tea, but it smells too enticing, I’m thirsty, and it’s a Friday afternoon so I’ve run out of patience/the ability to self-regulate vigilantly. I wasn’t a huge fan of this the first few times I drank it – I initially found the flavors a bit flat – but it definitely grew on me once I realized that this benefits from cooling off a good deal!

This reminds me of one of the Adagio green rooibos teas I’ve enjoyed in the past. The main flavor is the green rooibos, which is really nice quality here. The other flavor is a light fruitiness. It’s light and refreshing, though it doesn’t necessarily stand out from other blends. I’d happily drink it again!

Ashmanra’s Sipdown Challenge | June 2023 | June 29 – International Day of the Tropics: Drink a tropical tea!

A sad sipdown, because I forgot how good this one is! It’s delightful cold-brewed. The coconut comes out more strongly, giving the whole thing a creamy, coconutty, peachy vibe that is quite nice. Very refreshing after a workout.

My choice was a green rooibos, too!

Sipdown! (34 | 131)

So I got a very small 52teas order, mostly because I wanted to try that anniversary blend, and this was included as a wee sample! :D

So I didn’t really read the description, and just went to steep it up because it was the perfect amount for a single pot of tea. I saw and smelled the coconut in there, and some dried fruit that looked like peach or mango. And as it steeped, I could smell mostly coconut.

So when I tasted it, I was very pleasantly surprised by the blood orange! It’s probably the strongest flavor to my palate, and it has a nice citrusy brightness to it. The coconut is prominent as well, the combination of the two almost reminds me of a creamsicle? The coconut contributes a lovely creaminess that makes it taste a bit desserty. I don’t think I would pick out peach if I didn’t know it was there, just because the combination of the other two flavors tastes a bit similar to the peach, so it doesn’t stand out.

Anyway, it’s yummy! And now I’m off to go watch Grease… ;)
