737 Tasting Notes
Dug this one out of my cupboard today after not touching it for months. I forgot how much I like it.
I think the coconut flavoring comes out a bit more now that it’s getting old. I could also taste more of the ginger and less of the nutmeg and the cloves, which is a-okay with me. The black base is nice and mild, and of good quality.
A perfect blend to drink as we transition from winter to summer.
Gave this one a nice long steep, and it made it much richer and better than usual. The barley came out more, and the mouthfeel was creamy and sweet, like a perfectly-baked sugar cookie. The orange peel is the most brilliant part of it.
This is one that I will crave once in a great while, and it hits the spot. Just a really low-maintenance, simple pleasure.
Flavors: Cookie, Orange Zest, Sugar
I had a cup of coffee this morning, and then this, and now I’m jittery. I only get jittery if I have a cup of caffeinated tea after a cup of coffee, so I don’t for one second believe that this is caffeine-free, despite what the box says.
A Chinese coworker gave my boyfriend this tea, and he gave me a few bags to try.
He loves white tea, but it’s not usually my favorite. But this one is pretty good! Very smooth, very drinkable and surprisingly flavorful. I can’t really describe the taste, other than as a nondescript, vegetable note, but it’s definitely there and definitely palatable.
Not bad, although it’s probably the Lipton of Chinese white tea.

My boyfriend told me to get this one because he has it at work and he says it’s really good for when you’re sick.
I accidentally uploaded the wrong picture for this (helpfully, Higher Living uses the exact same design and colors for their Lemon & Ginger blend….), and then of course Steepster doesn’t let you change the default picture. I uploaded the right one for it, but you have to click on the tea and then click on Other Images to see it.
I was crazy anxious last night, and it helped a lot. It’s soothing and surprisingly mild. It almost has a sugar cookie taste to it. The longer you let it steep, the better it gets.
Very good for anyone who wants the benefits of ginger without the intense spiciness.
Flavors: Cookie, Ginger, Lemon Zest
I got this because it seems summery. It smells very fruity and cinnamon-y in the dry bag.
Once I steeped it, I only got peach in the aftertaste. It was mostly a mediocre black base with a lot of apple and cinnamon.
Oh well.
I’ve had bad luck with fruit blends from big companies. Always seem to have a mediocre black base with a not very realistic fruity flavor. They seem to fair better when making it just a tisane.
I completely agree. Serves me right for trusting Starbuck’s with tea. They should stick to their overpriced and over-sweet chai lattes and their ridiculous coffee products. Lol
Yick. Yick. Yiiiiick.
I hate this stuff. I hate licorice and I hate teas that taste like they already have Dolores-Umbridge amounts of sugar in them without me adding any.
I’m just gonna toss the last bag of this vile stuff. Thank God it’s out of my life.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Licorice, Sweet
The green rooibos was the appealing part for me. I’ve never tried it before.
I sniffed the dry bag and had a mini panic attack— surely they wouldn’t DARE put stevia in this tea! I reread the ingredients and breathed a sigh of relief. It’s just naturally sweet from all the fruit.
The hibiscus somehow doesn’t make my lips pucker with disgust! It’s a miracle. I taste lots of cherries and jam, and even a echo of wine in the aftertaste. Not bad! I’m starting to reconsider Tazo.
It’s much more subtle! Not as woodsy, very mild and plays nice with fruit flavors. I like red rooibos with more dessert-y flavors like chocolate and vanilla, personally.
I’m impressed with how well this one stays in the cupboard. Two years later and it still tastes good!
Right? I also have their Chocolate Chai with the rooibos base and it’s equally as good.
