I officially hate this tea. I don’t think I’ve hated a tea this much before… Surprising, right? At first I didn’t mind the smell, and I tried it in store, but it had an interesting taste… I was unsure. SO I bought 15g to try at home, had a hot cup, thought it was tolerable, but meh. Then I took someones suggestion to try it as an iced latte with honey in it – and NOPE. I found myself JUST able to finish it, and after that I felt like gagging when I smelled it. It was horrible… Maybe I’m just not the biggest fan of pu’erh tea.

Don’t let this tea shape your entire perception of Pu’erh – there’s FAR better stuff out there (even within DAVIDsTEA alone). This just isn’t a great blend.

Personally, as far at flavoured stuff goes, I’d test the waters with either Chocolate Orange or Juicy Orange. In my opinion those are two of the better Pu’erh blends we sell at DAVIDsTEA at the moment. English Toffee is also quite popular, though admittedly I find it a bit rich.

Oh, I know. I’ve tried my share of pu’erhs. I’m certain I’ve tried Juicy Orange and I just can’t stand the after taste – which is unfortunate because it had a nice orange flavour. I think I may have tried Chocolate Orange but I wasn’t the biggest fan of that one either. The only pu’erhs I have liked is Hot Chocolate and Garcinia Goodness, and didn’t mind Cinnamon Heart.

Fair enough! I actually didn’t mind Garcinia Goodness and was sad when it was retired; but I guess it was just too similar to Juicy Orange. Not a huge fan of Hot Chocolate, personally. Can’t say I ever tried Cinnamon Heart; it was from before I started working at DAVIDsTEA and obsessively trying to drink everything on the wall.

Hi, I’m Michelle and I am pretty much obsessed with tea. Some people say I have a problem. I mostly drink DavidsTea – but I am open to trying other ones too.

Things I LOVE in tea:
-Fruits (especially peach, melon, strawberry, banana, berries etc)
-Chocolate
-Lemongrass
-Cinnamon

Things I don’t MIND in tea:
-Stevia
-Vanilla
-Pineapple
—Mint & Peppermint

Things/ingredients I HATE in tea:
-Coconut (Rare exceptions)
-Nuts (Some exceptions)
-Caramel/toffee
-Earl Grey (Bergamot)
-Rice/fennel
-Coffee beans
-Bamboo
-Lavender

I am quite picky with my teas. If the primary ingredients are mixed with something I don’t tend to like – I will try it and its possible I’ll like it. But if the tea is mostly/primarily something I hate – I won’t even try it.
I mostly like Herbals, Green, Oolong, White and Black teas.
