drank White Blueberry by Adagio Teas

I have been thinking about this tea for a few days now, and I wanted to drink it again.

I love White Tea! LOVE it! I love all the other kinds, too, but I think black teas can be really strong in their base, sometimes, and it’s hard to get into for me, and then other teas it all just depends. White tea, I love because it is light, very light, but still has a flavor, and THEN when you add an outside flavor (fruit, vanilla, I don’t know, whatever you want) it doesn’t overpower that said flavor, and that said flavor usually doesn’t over power the white tea. I like balance in my teas, can you tell?

This tea has a very light, delicate taste, and is very refreshing, seeing as it is summer. The blueberry is present and sweet, and I really love it. Blueberry is actually becoming one of my favorite flavors/fruits now. All in all this tea is just a very balanced, delicate, but greatly flavored tea, and I really love it.

Now just to try it iced one day!

drank Chocolate Chai by Adagio Teas
111 tasting notes

Backlog from yesterday! I was given a small bit of this a while ago, and steeped too much leaf in too small of a cup the first time around, and it had way too much of the Chai spice we all usually LOVE.

So, I had to wait to re-try it, since at college I don’t have a lot of my tea stuff with me, like my mugs and good strainers. Now that I’m home and able to steep it right, I did and OH MY GOSH I WANT MORE IT’S NOT FAIR THAT IT IS ALL GONE!

This tea was so, so yummy. It had the Chai spice, but it was delicate, and it had a very creamy chocolate flavor, subtle on the first sip, strong on the aftertaste. Very, very good. It had the right balance of spicy, creamy, and sweet, it smelled good pre-steep, and after steeping, and it was just great.

I really want more…

This is one of my all time favorite teas. I’ve logged it once, drank it…twice, I think? But maybe only that once. I was craving it today, and decided to make some.

Last time I made it, it steeped light, nearly colorless, but still kept a great flavor. This time I steeped it, and it was a bit darker, and STILL had the great flavor. I honestly think I cannot do anything to make this tea less in any way. The jasmine flavor floods your tongue, but doesn’t overpower you, the tea is light and refreshing, perfect for summer time. I’ve never drank it cold, but I’m sure it’s just as good cold as it is hot, and again, I seriously doubt it’s possible to ruin this tea, but again, I’m a bit biased because, well, I just think this tea rocks.

Every sip makes me happy, it’s just smooth, floral filled, and wonderful. Go make yourself a cup if you have any, and if you, for whatever insane reason, do not like it, you know someone to pass it on to!

On a serious ending note, though, this tea is splendid, and it makes me love tea even more, and it has every good thing in it. <3

I forgot to thank @Angel from Teavivre, once again! Even though I have had this sample for a long while now, I always want to thank the person who provided it, when I love the tea as much as I do.

TeaVivre

I’m very glad to hear that you love the tea. I think you can try to drink it cold. Maybe it will present a surprising taste.

Violet

I’m going to try it soon, hopefully. I will let you know how it tastes! I’m also thinking about reviewing all the teas you sent me again, since it has been a while since I’ve drank any of them. I try to make my favorite teas last a while instead of using it all right away.

TeaVivre

Sounds great.Wish you have a nice day.

This tea is creativity and inspiration and energy all in one cup. And I really didn’t like this tea at first, because I couldn’t get it to steep right. But now that I have it down, it is the most amazing cup, ever. I seriously love it so much. It just has a wonderful berry, creamy vanilla taste and it’s just delicious!

You owe it to yourself to buy this tea, and don’t panic if it doesn’t take good at all the first few tries you make it. Keep trying. 180-190 is the best steep time, maybe even slightly lower, and at least two things of sugar. Cream isn’t needed, but helps bring out the vanilla a lot. And once you find your pattern with this tea, DON’T CHANGE IT. This is a tea that needs a strict routine. It’s worth finding it, trust me. <3

Elderberries, blackberries, cranberries, cherries, and raspberries! Oh my!

This tea is berry good! Haha, I know, I know, it’s corny, but it’s also true. This tea is bursting with berry flavor, and also has this wonderfully smooth, creamy chocolate aftertaste. It’s subtle, but it’s there and it’s glorious.

This tea also smells wonderful-you can smell cocoa, and the berries, and it’s very pretty to look at, with a lot of purples, reds, and chocolate browns.

It doesn’t need a lot of sugar, and the taste is amazing. I’ve had the tea since Christmas, have drank it 3 times (I drink Teavanna teas slowly, because they are so expensive) and I NEVER ONCE REVIEWED IT! Shameful. The tea is amazing, I really don’t have much else to say!

I do have a question though—milk curdles when introduced to citrus, as well as, in my experience, some rose. Will it curdle with the berries listed above? I’ve wanted to try putting milk or cream in this, to see if it helps bring the chocolate flavor out any more, but am afraid to ruin the cup.

Oh, and this is a backlog from yesterday evening! I’ll try to be a bit more current, hopefully.

drank Berry Earl Grey by Joy's Teaspoon
111 tasting notes

I’m using up the last of this, and it’s been about a year since I last logged it, so I’m pretty proud of the fact that I was able to make a sample last an entire year. College helped, because I could not make loose leaf in school—too messy, and not enough space.

I don’t remember what I said about this tea in the past, though I’m sure I loved it. I love it still, as it has the wonderful Bergamot flavor, but toned down just a bit, with a hint of berry. The description says Raspberry, which I think is mainly what I’m tasting. Any of the other berries, I wouldn’t be able to name outright, though I can taste the flavors. I think blackberry would possibly be one, though.

All in all, it’s a very rich, wonderful taste, and I’m enjoying this tea as it rains, and rains, and rains. Good weather for tea!

This tea never ceases to amaze and satisfy me. I was in a very foul mood, and wanted tea, as well as just wanted to relax with the process of making tea. It really is calming.

So I scoured through my stash, and found that I had enough left of this for one big cup, so I steeped it all. This tea is good with milk or lemon, but this time I decided to add lemon instead of milk, like I usually do. The lemon helped bring out the lemon and strawberry flavour in there, and I really just love this tea. <3

Mood improved, thanks to a wonderful cuppa!

This is an update note, as I drank this once today, but am now on my second cup. Yes, at 10 at night. THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE TEA, SECOND TO A REALLY GOOD EARL GREY. Maybe even higher than some Earl Grey, which is saying A LOT.

This tea is a bit of heaven in a cup. Just saying.

So, if you drink this tea and are not impressed, try using a lower temp (I’d say 205 or lower) and steeping it for only 3 or 4 minutes. Use two spoonfuls of sugar, and milk. And if you STILL don’t like it, I WILL TAKE IT, SERIOUSLY!!

Kittenna

Haha, I ended up liking this one too :) Adagio’s base is just reaaallly finicky.

Isn’t it awesome?? I really am glad I figured it out, because I just didn’t want to miss out on what sounded like such a good tea!

About a year ago, I tried this tea, and hated it. Absolutely hated it. It was bitter, had no vanilla, cream, blackberry anything. I knew I had steeped it wrong, somehow some way. Now, after many cups of various teas later, I am educated on tea and how to make it, what makes it steep wrong, etc.

I made this in a teapot, let it freely float in the water, which was just under boiling, and steeped it for 3 minutes exactly. Then strained it in a teacup.

I am happy to say this is perfect. PERFECT.

There is the sweet, slightly sharp taste of blackberries, and the creamy taste of vanilla. The mouthfeel is a creamy and sweet, and I love this tea. I can’t describe it any more than amazing.
