This was a sample from Ost a while ago! Thanks so much. It might be from Celestial Seasonings, but it’s an oddity I’ve never tried before. Never heard of it, actually, before receiving it from Ost, and those are the kinds of teas I like to get. :D This tea might be older, but most of the elements are here. I would imagine any distinct champagne flavor has faded, but I’m definitely tasting notes of strawberry and cinnamon on a deep dark base. As well as some roasty earthiness from the chicory. I don’t mind the chicory at all here, though usually I don’t like it. If the chicory wasn’t here, it would taste about as close to Butiki’s lovely Ruby Pie blend…as any other tea I’ve tried anyway. The cinnamon is odd in “champagne” but if I ignore the name, it’s a delicious flavor combination. It’s definitely more like a strawberry cinnamon dessert.
Steep #1 // 2 tea bags for a full mug // 18 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 3 minute steep

Never heard of this one, nor have I tried strawberry and cinnamon together. Interesting on both fronts!

Cinnamon and strawberry together is so good, IMO. 52Teas had a strawberry pie honeybush that combined those flavours and was delicious, and I use cinnamon in strawberry rhubarb pies/crisps!
