Day #25!! Christmas! And the Advent Calendar is complete! Mainly, I loved this calendar so that I didn’t have to hem and haw over which tea to have every day. I always want to drink ALL the teas. Every day. This one is also almost just like the tea I had yesterday for the Advent, the Jolly Holiday. To me, this one is more like chai and has a stronger black tea base. I love chai but I expected the Christmas tea to have a little more special to it. Am I happy with buying the Advent? With the Cyber Monday sale, each tin of tea was only a little over a dollar anyway (with a few teaspoons in each tin) so even if there are only a couple I didn’t like, that seems okay for all of the teas in the Advent that I DO enjoy. (I think there was only ONE tea in the Advent I absolutely hated). It was something fun for the season! And I’ll have these teas all next December too. :D It’s sad I had to add most of Angry’s teas to the Steepster database. I hope I’m exploring Angry Tea Room’s teas enough that a few others take an interest. :D
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug// just boiled // 3 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 5 minute steep

I also had a sipdown of Bluebird’s Christmas Cake tea… but…. there is more on the way. Last order of any teas for a WHILE. Absolutely. I must.

You’ve definitely piqued my interest in Angry Tea Room! I don’t think I’d ever come across them before, but some of the teas in the advent calendar sound really tempting.

I hope you like the teas you try if you give them a chance. :D

My icon photo is Richard Mayhew from the graphic novel ‘Neverwhere’ by Neil Gaiman, Mike Carey & Glenn Fabry.

Most of the teas listed in my cupboard are actually sample sizes. I don’t really have 2,000 ounces of tea around here! Many of my teas have only one teaspoon left… maybe two. But I like keeping them in my cupboard list for reference to what I could be sipping. Usually, I write tasting notes once for each tea. I’m still drinking them, just not writing tasting notes each time!

I’m always in search of: Hattialli, Qu Hao black, Jin Jun Mei, teas using marshmallow root.

My dislikes: hibiscus, ginger (unless in chai), turmeric, bee pollen, charcoal type flavors

My ratings:
95-100 – Super awesome deliciousness favorites – cupboard essential
80-95 – Also pretty delicious
65-80 – Pretty good
50-65 – Okay
1-50 – Probably won’t want to sip it again

I’m planning on being a Steepsterer as long as there IS a Steepster, so if you’re not hearing from me, that means something happened to my health… if you know what I mean. (Or as evidenced by the great computer hiatus of 2019, something happened to my computer… I have a dumb phone so can’t access internet on that. As of 12/20/21 my wifi might start getting unreliable.)

Happy sipping!
