Made my first attempt at a cold brew last night, let this sit for about 12 hours.
Normally i wouldn’t write 2 notes about the same tea, but this is so amazing cold brewed that I have to tell you about it.

Ermahgerd its devine, spectacular, delicious. Straight strawberry rhubarb pie filling, with a touch of creamyness. Heaven in a cup. On nom nom.

Oh my deliciousness!

Had this iced this morning. Oh the lime & mint. Man this is good. It’s quite similar in taste profile to Teaopia’s Raspberry Mint Mojito, which is my fav iced tea EVER!!!

Im not quite getting the cucumber, but everything else is so wonderful I don’t need it.
Very refreshing for hot summer days.

I’m with Tea sipper on this one. The flavours are nothing like I expected, but it works. Really well actually.

I expected to hate this tea based on the dry leaves. But the way all the flavours are blending creates something completely different & delicious. I’m not even sure what it tastes like, but it’s yummy.
Every now & again I get a touch.if chocolate mid sip & a hint of spice at the back of my throat.

Yummy!

Bought this earlier this week for my morning teas. Figured I’d give it a go this morning. The next half dozen I’d so teas I review are ones I’ve had this week.

This tea is ok & that’s all. I’m not a fan of the flavours the ginseng & eleuthero root. Actually It’s kinda gross & it has nothing to do with the pu’erh.

Into the swap pile it goes.

had this iced yesterday, I was odly hot for the 20 degrees it was in my house.
dry this has a citrusy smell I’m not liking, it steeps up much the same & tastes just like it smells. yuck!
I basically feel the same way about this that Sil does, except I love the sprinkles.
I’ll avoid rating this until I have it hot, though I don’t have high hopes.

the second of my morning pu-erh & my second tealux tea.
the dry leaves were almost fruity, & not quite delicious smelling.
ugh once steeped that really revolting smell appears that I have associated with pu-erh. it’s that smell that lends to that fishy tastes. oh oh
so I sucked it up, stopped breathing through my nose & sipped. I do get a hint of caramel, man I wish there was more of that, followed by the nasty smell converted to taste & a whole lot of chai.
I’ll finish the sample pouch of this, but I won’t buy more. so much potential. needs more caramel & less of that nasty taste, although I don’t know how it’s unavoidable.

I had some of this the other day, granted I am suffering from a head cold and my taster may be off, but I didn’t think I was tasting any Pu’erh and you seem to be getting too much (in a bad fishy sort of way). I love reading tasting notes to see the differences in how people experience teas.

Dry this smells like The Tea Store’s Candy Cane.
It’s minty, but not overly so. I like this one quite a bit, I’ll probably add this one to my morning pu-erh s.
It’s similar in taste to candy cane, not as strong though, & nit as much vanilla.
I wish taste wise this was more like the vanilla mint mate from my local tea store.
But still pretty yummy.

sip down 8 I think
when I grabbed the bag I was leary, I thought that I didnt like this the first time & then I sipped it & it was so much yummier than I remember. I checked this note & rating and realized I did really like this, but I still think it’s yummier than before. I want more.
I let it cool too much & it got really bitter

sip down 7
I guess technically it’s not a sip down because I have enough for a tiny mug.
as I started sipping this & got the bitterness I remembered I wanted to cold brew this one & forgot. oops!
way over steeped this, getting strong black licorice flavours from it this time

Hi there! I haven’t been on this site in a long time, and I’m seeing all this “sip down” commentary. What is a “sip down” tea?

Sil

heh i feel like i’m always the one seeing this question. Sipdown is just a small way to express that you’ve come to the end of a tea in your cupboard. you’re having your last cup and it will be removed from your cupboard until you buy more (if you choose to). Some of us have mini sipdowns when you finish off one bag of a tea you might have more of…or sample sipdowns for some folks who don’t put sample sizes into their cupboards but still track it. Mostly it’s just a fun way to announce that you’ve finished up a tea! :)

nowhere near as good as before, but it was in a zip loc baggie.
I’d love to get my hands on more of this.

also sipped down something right after this that was unmarked. was a black, looked like it had peppermint & cinnamon in it, but was next to flavorless
