1 Tasting Note

Still a novice tea drinker, so take this review for what it is worth. Opening the package produces some lovely bright green leaves that have subtle floral scent. I wanted to infuse this one Gaiwan style, but opted for a small cast iron teapot and a little over 5 grams of tea. Infused with boiling water for about 4.5 minutes, this tea produced a beautiful yellow liquor that had bright orchid aroma. Definitely not your usual floral scent of Jasmin or Rose, but something very complex like an orchid garden. Taste was smooth and creamy with a mild astringency but no lingering bitterness. Sweet flavour left in the mouth after drinking.
I will be infusing this blend a number of time and will attempt to update my review with repeated infusions.
2nd infusion – slightly weaker but virtually identical experience to the first infusion. This is gonna hold up well for many infusions!
