Not what I expected. One time I visited a Indian yoga/spa place, and they served me a cup of tea that taste just like Chai without the tea leaves. Ever since then I fell in love and I tried to come up with a recipe that emulates it. I discovered this tea in the meanwhile, thinking it would taste just like that after reading the ingredient list. I would say this is not bad, but definitely not what I expected of it nor do I find the taste to be pleasant. It tastes sweeter than I prefer my tea to be, and has a very strong nutty flavor which I wasn’t looking forward to. It didn’t have that palate cleansing deep aromatic spiciness that I was looking for. To each his own. I think this tea may have some health benefits, but I don’t know what to do about all the rest of the tea bags.

I think the longer you keep this tea, the better it gets. When I first bought it, it had very bitter taste while retaining the aroma of pu-erh, almost like when you eat a fruit that is not ripe enough to eat yet. The tea kept the aroma intact after years, and now it tastes just right. This tea definitely acts as a digestive aid. There’s an urban legend Chinese people don’t get fat because of the tea they drink with the meal – I happen to think this is true. In Chinese tea shops they say pu-erh tea washes away the grease and I sort of feel like I can taste that particular quality in my mouth already. It’s kind of hard to explain. It’s not detergent-y taste, but rather it’s the kind of feeling I get from that taste. I don’t know if anyone drinks pu-erh tea for an afternoon tea with desserts, tea sandwiches and such. That’s certainly not my preference of the occasion to have this tea with. I like this tea with savory, especially heavily greasy meal type of food. I can have this instead of soda when eating burgers, pizzas, etc. Call me a quirk, but I think this is a far better match than sodas, and my stomach thanks me for it.

With that being said, you may not want to have this tea when you are having light food, nor on an empty stomach. It’s going to give you a sensation similar to that of excess stomach acid. Plus do care to put only very tiny amount, half or less than half of the amount of tea leaves you usually put compared to your regular teas. The brew is very, I mean very strong. Rinse off the first brew, and drink from the second one. When brewing for the second time give it about anywhere from 30 sec to 1 min to brew.

Lastly, this tea does contain caffeine. I think higher dose than other black or green teas. Maybe that’s a general characteristic of pu-erh tea. This tea does perk you up and help you focus during the day while aiding digestion. However, you may want to avoid it in the evening if you want to have a sound sleep at night.

Water temperature – the hotter, the better. I marked it as “boiling” as I couldn’t find the ideal temperature for pu-erh tea, which is 100 degrees celsius (212 f), but please don’t boil or simmer the water with the tea leaves in.

This tea is very pretty and fragrant. It can be quite common as it is mainly composed of chamomile and lavender, but somehow the two together makes a very pleasant aroma that contains the two, yet very different compared to each of them separately. The corn flower leaves actually add accent to the color of dry leaves rather than the lavender. The product was very fresh, the scent was pretty and full bodied, and the taste was comforting and satisfying. When you open the product you can see that the tea satchels are fully filled. Brew about 1 minute the first time, leave out the bag and a little bit longer second and third time around. For me it was okay to brew up to 3-4 times. Quality wise, this tea is great. However, I suspect the satchels are made of nylon, and even though this is a very pretty tisane blend that is healthy, I didn’t give it a full 100 because I don’t think it takes extra creativity to come up with this blend. Chamomile + lavender blend is something I made often at home on my own using the stock tea I had at home. Purchasing of this product was more for convenience rather than trying something new or to add to collection.

For me this tea was not as exciting as the Orchid Green Tea from the same brand. Granted, the leaves (green tea, cornflower, marigold and bits of rose petals) are high quality and they’re very pretty to look at whether dry or steeped. However, I felt like the fragrance was a little too all over the place. It smells like a mixture of bunch of flowers and fruits that I can’t pinpoint which sort of note, and to my taste it didn’t go well with green tea leaves. Somebody titled this “Korean Wedding Green Tea” but this is just a Wedding green tea blend and the flower petals used in this blend are not traditionally Korean culinary ingredients.

One of my top favorite green teas. I have a cup in front of me right now! The tea is so beautifully fragrant, the scent of orchid and green tea goes so well together. When it brews, you can see that the leaves are high quality. As for the color, it’s quite bright green for a green tea. The dry leaves, a mixture of marigold petals and green tea leaves, are very pretty to look at. I love this as a morning tea,to have it with desserts, or to enjoy alone as it is. The only problem is it’s quite pricey and hard to come by.

Take care to store this tea in an airtight container. While this product comes in individual tea bags, it doesn’t come wrapped so make sure to store it completely sealed or otherwise it absorbs smells from the outside way too much. When it comes to fennel tea, I prefer to brew the whole seed instead of crushed ones like this one.

This tea is deliciously tantalizing. The slightly bitter taste of green tea and sweet, full, delicious aroma of berries and vanilla goes so well together. This tea doesn’t have a grain of sugar but the aroma alone is very satisfying and pleasing to all senses. I had this tea while having an afternoon tea @ a prestige hotel in Singapore. At first I was a bit skeptical but after having it, I was content with my choice.

Don’t understand the bad review for this product. It tastes just like the first cup of chamomile tea I remembered, and I like it. It’s individually wrapped, so convenient to carry around.

Taste wise, I’d give it the full 100. I had to take off some points due to packaging. It has a full bodied aroma and taste, and is a very decent chamomile tea. However, it is not a loose tea nor does it come in individual wrapped. My family usually go by chamomile tea quite fast, but it attracted bugs before we even get done with it. Maybe due to it’s sweet, apple like aroma.

Strawberry aroma is dominant. Mango is hardly noticeable. Not as sour as other hibiscus based berry teas. However, the taste is quite flat. Another thing I don’t like about this tea is that it uses metal staple to hold the bag and the thread with tag together.
