2170 Tasting Notes
I enjoyed this one much more than I expected I would! Green teas aren’t always a favorite, but I’ve learned recently that I enjoy Moroccan mint teas. I used sugar in place of honey and liked this quite a lot.
Flavors: Mint
Preparation
An enjoyable tea. Rich, dark chocolate. I have others with similar flavor profiles that I like better so I don’t plan to repurchase, but I’ve enjoyed the sample.
Second Steep
8 ounces water + 195 degrees + 20 minutes
Not a bad resteep but it’s a bit weak. Not sure if it’s worth it in the end.
Flavors: Dark Chocolate
Preparation
I wouldn’t compare this to a classic breakfast tea since I really only taste the honeybush. Which is fine, except I was really hoping for a solid nighttime version of a classic breakfast tea. Decaf versions are still the best option for me, I think.

I opened my email this morning and saw that DAVIDsTEA had announced the return of their Pumpkin Chai. Fall is on its way! I still have some of this from way back when, so I decided to have a cup. At least one person on Steepster noted that this has honey notes, so I’m also counting it as my tea for World Honey Bee Day. I did add honey to it as well, so either way it works. I made sure to get a little caramel cube in my cup this time, but the main flavor I taste is still clove. I love a clove-heavy chai, so it’s an enjoyable cup this afternoon.
Flavors: Clove
Preparation
I’m trying this Darjeeling again for National Pinot Noir Day after completely botching the cup a couple of weeks ago. Before, it was so incredibly bitter and cloudy. Today, it’s absolutely bright and floral and fruity!
Flavors: Floral, Fruity
Preparation
A reliable old favorite. I don’t think this one’s around anymore, but it’s so similar to Nepal Black that I’m fine with that. If DT ever discontinues Nepal Black, I’ll be so very sad.
