2170 Tasting Notes
This has never been a favorite of mine. It tastes too bland, barely chocolatey at all. So today I used a recipe from Goddess Ghee that includes their Lunar Cacao.
1 Tbsp Lunar Cacao
→ ghee, cacao powder, honey, shatavari root, maca root, lavender, cayenne, and cinnamon
1 splash rose water
6oz hot water
blend til frothy
In place of the six ounces hot water, I used six ounces of this brewed chocolate tea. I also added some extra honey and cream because the ghee is a bit bitter and not very sweet on its own (plus, why not?).
I honestly can’t say the tea improved with the additions. Just not sure what to do with it at this point. I still have a nearly full tin of teabags left.

Preparation
Sometimes when I want to use up a tea I’m not crazy about, I make a cold brew pitcher, then use that as the liquid in smoothies.
Craving Earl Grey tonight and Twinings is admittedly one of my favorites. I can tell a difference between the decaf and caffeinated versions, but it’s not so much that I would throw out my decaf. Need a good option when the craving hits. Upping my rating from a 53 because it’s really not so bad as all that.
Flavors: Bergamot
I ran out of local honey (I know how this sounds) and had to use some from the grocery store (I know, I know) and it made my tea taste so funky (I KNOW).
This tea is one of my favorites, always deliciously chocolatey and vanilla…y (??), and this funky honey ruined it. Yes, I’m pouting. Yes, I’m probably being a little ridiculous. But also yes, I’m still grumpy about it.
