85 Tasting Notes
I dont think this tastes like a cream pie. It has a weird aftertaste and some odd sort of smell, underneath the smell of raspberry. almost like a food smell, like cat food? lol idk but its weird. maybe its the rooibos? idk i would have called this raspberry rooibos not “cream pie”. I dont like it. ill finish what i have but certainly won’t buy it again.
Flavors: Raspberry
This tea is interesting. It smells amazing, like sweet & floral rose petals. It tastes yummy too, but I wish that there had been more white chocolate in my tin. There were like 5 pieces to the ounce that I have and that sucks because it made it just a rose black tea- which is fine. but i wish that the white chocolate had been more prominent and creamy. I would have called this Rose Black Tea lol or maybe “A rose by any other name…” or something catchy like that haha.
Flavors: Rose, Tea
Oh I got no roses either. Maybe two little red pieces the size of the tip of a pencil but nothing like advertised … bummer
I got this as a free sample along with my order of 5 sample packs of Toasted Marshmallow Hojicha! (I was stocking up lol) I wish that the season for chai wasn’t nearing an end because this tea is so yummy! I love hojicha because I love anything nutty and toasty and it goes perfectly with masala spices. I hope this tea comes back next fall because I will drink it up!
Flavors: Cinnamon, Clove, Nutty, Spices, Toasty
This tea reminds me of a cross between movie night, sleigh ride (without the tart hibiscus), and forever nuts! It basically takes all the good qualities of each and bundles it all up with a buttery caramel corn taste. It is my absolute favorite, along with Honey Lullaby, at David’s this season! I got 2oz yesterday but am already going to stock up on more tomorrow. I really should just buy stock in DAVIDsTEA I spend so much money there its almost sad lol.
Flavors: Almond, Butter, Butterscotch, Caramel, Cinnamon, Fruity, Popcorn
Preparation
This tea was so good! I love the toasty Hojicha. It doesn’t taste smokey or anything, which I was happy about because I hate smokey tastes (like lapsang souchong…bleh) so I was excited that this tea used green and white. I really enjoyed it. the vanilla and marshmallow flavors come out very well. The whole tea is very calm and mellow. Its not in your face with any of the flavors which is nice. I will order this again if its still available.
Flavors: Marshmallow, Toasty, Vanilla
The dry leaf of this tea is soooo beautiful! like legit its the prettiest tea ever. And it smells like honey candy or maybe honey cookies. The smell is to die for, I wish they would make it into a candle! However, I was really scared to try this tea because I HATE stevia. Like despise it. I wish they didnt add stevia into some of their teas its sooo gross. So I was hoping that I wouldn’t taste it. The smell of the steeped tea is still really yummy. Like honey candy but not in a sickeningly honey-sweet way. In a good way haha. I can smell the chamomile now, too. I can’t taste the stevia! YAY!!! omg I’m the happiest girl ever. I even added agave to it to sweeten it up. Its really good! It has a faint hint of honey its not sickeningly sweet or anything. The chamomile and rose petals are super light too. Its very “tasteful” when it comes to flavor in this tea. Its soothing. But the best part is that there isn’t a nasty aftertaste from the stevia. I can’t even taste it, like I said I added agave to it because I wanted it a tad but sweeter. YUM! I love this tea :)
