1236 Tasting Notes
What a great aroma! It’s so tangy! The flavor is also tangy but it required at least 10 minuets of steep time to get to this. At 5 mins it was way too light. The color was a light red. But now after 10 mins it’s much better. The color is a deep, rich red and the flavor is much better.
Preparation
Spicy smell, spicy taste. Kinda looks spicy too. Actually when I saw that there was oolong in it I got excited because Verdant has good oolong. The flavor is very much like the scent. Though I’m not really sure of the use of Tulsi. It’s like hibiscus, its overpowering. The smoothness and flavor of the oolong are pretty much none existent.
Preparation
Picked this one up from Tjmaxx. You can always find an odd assortment of tea there. I’m actually tasting truffle! It’s quite a good mix of flavors but at end you get a distinct chocolate truffle flavor. It kinda sits in your mouth and makes you want a chocolate truffle.
Smells like Bubblicios bubble gum. Tastes like…. something not guava. Something artificial. Kinda reminds me of something but I’m not quite sure of what that is. Maybe this tastes like a guava that I haven’t tasted but it sure doesn’t taste like Hawaiian guava.
1/2 tsp matcha and 6 oz milk
Sugar is the first ingredient so technically it should be a sugary flavor I get first but I don’t; it’s salty. I prepared it as it’s listed on the package. 8oz of almond milk and 2 tsp of matcha. I’m not tasting the cherry. Maybe it’s because of the almond milk.
Update: I made it again but this time with 4oz almond milk and 1tsp matcha. Much better but still no cherry anything. It’s fine as a plain matcha just don’t call it sakura for it’s cherry flavor.
Another update: This time I mixed in the matcha with water that was between hot and warm. And then I mixed in the almond milk. Still not tasting cherry but not saltiness.
1:30 min steep. Floral flavor. Roses. Not much of a black base like I’m used to with straight black teas. As it cools down the normal woodsy flavor starts to appear. This is good with brownie brittle. The leaves have a very interesting aroma. Slightly dark chocolate, slightly woodsy almost oaky. The way the wet leaves look kinda creeps me out.
If you are looking for a good caramel apple/apple pie tasting tea then you’ve found it. Hints of cinnamon, apples, and cream pair very well with the rooibos and honeybush. This is quite tasty. Gets better as it steeps longer.
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Cream
