1233 Tasting Notes
My husband says it’s not pumpkin spice season yet. The stores tell me otherwise. Though I do wish they would wait till October, I couldn’t help but pick up this up. Glad I did. It has a really nice lingering after taste. Pumpkin is hard to decipher in tea but as far as pumpkin spice goes, you can definitely taste it! Quite good. Quite relaxing.

I’m extremely disappointed that there is no guava in this tea. I would have assumed they would have used that delicious pink guava that grows in Hawai’i in this tea. Honestly, this doesn’t even taste like guava. Black tea, hibiscus and rose. Not even that much rose really…. Sigh…
Kuuipo… You are not my sweetheart
The first steep was more then 2.5 mins. Not sure about the flavor but the dry leaf and fruit smell good. Otherwise I’m not really a fan of this one besides the smell. I’ll give it a couple more goes just in case.
What I really love is the picture on the tin. The mountain image in the background is in Hanalei, Kauai, Hawai’i. One of my favorite places in the world.
Interesting. My tin sticker is different then the one in the pic here.
Though I’m not a huge fan of black tea I do like to try as many different teas as I can. This one reminds me if a shaved ice flavor I got once, or maybe the mixture of flavors. I’m enjoying this one more then I thought I would.
It’s September and Pumpkin everything is upon us. Seeing as how I don’t drink coffee I figured I would have to try a pumpkin tea something or another. I prefer my chai to be spicy. A bit of zip. This has chai flavor but for me it’s too sweet. Good base. Although I can barely taste it. Add a bit more zip and I think this would be a hit. Uh… you know… I’m not really sensing much pumpkin either… Or was the pumpkin just those candy pieces?

Preparation
Had to pick up this blend during my first visit to their Chicago store on Division. Great store. Really wish I could have geeked out more but it was hot out and I was with my family.
Anyway. Very unique blend! The black tea comes out the more you steep it. Really an interesting blend. So much going on. Don’t even know where to begin.
