Blueberry torte? More like Blueberry TART!!! It’s so tart! It’s like a punch in the face. Though it starts out tart and ends sweet which is nice. I did a cold brew so maybe that affected the flavors a bit. Steeped it for around an hour. Lots of blueberry flavor.
Flavors: Blueberry
Preparation
A very unique tisane. The strawberry flavor starts off the sip but is immediately taken over by hibiscus. As far as truffle flavor goes… I can maybe see this as a vanilla truffle with a strawberry filling but the hibiscus is too strong to make a good truffle flavor. Maybe needs some vanilla.
Aroma: sweet, nutty, tropical, tangy
Flavor: What is going on in my mouth?!?!?! It starts off smooth with an unknown, indescribable flavor and slowly makes its way to an amazing coconut and pineapple sensation! Pumpkin and carrot….what?! I can’t wrap my head around this tisane. Had to cold steep it because I dislike using hotel Keurigs. The water gets way to hot for me. I think this is better cold.
Had the best Goji berry tea at Mango sushi cafe in Minneapolis. So I was excited to try this one. I wish there were more goji berries in the sample because I feel like it’s affecting the flavor. Luckily the few that were in there were enough to over power the hibiscus. The use of honey dew is also a very nice addition.
Seeing as how purple teas are somewhat rare… I had to try this. It’s very smooth. Has a woodsy start with very interesting tones to it. Some I’m not quite able to describe. Though I’m not usually a fan of the darker oolongs even I can appreciate how good this one is.
Citrus and green tea should be banned. But green tea and fruit is okie dokie for lack of better wordage. After I read the description and saw citrus I almost put this back in the ttb but after reading the ingredients I realized it really didn’t have any citrus at all, it was just a descriptor! Hurray! Bonzai! And the flavor? HA! No citrus! I truly hate citrus in my green tea. You have no idea. Maybe it was because I once asked for a green tea no citrus flavor in Starbucks and what I got was a citrus green tea. YUCK! I love how this one starts out with a grassy slightly nutty flavor and swiftly turns over to strawberry. As far as red currants go… I dont taste them but I’m sure they are hiding there somewhere.
A pleasant surprise. I thought for sure it was going to be artificial tasting but this actually tastes like real blueberries! The jasmine is on the light side of flavors, which I find rather odd considering jasmine usually like to make its self known. Had to cold steep this one. I’m wondering if the jasmine would come out more if its hot.
