This is one of my favorite teas as well and I don’t normally go for a bagged tea. I’ve had trouble finding it lately so I’m saving my last few bags for when I’m sick, it does wonders for an upset stomach. It’s a very slight and slightly sweet tea.

I’ve actually been drinking this every day for the last month or so. My husband bought me a pound of this tea for our first anniversary, I just discovered that I still had some [by some I mean over 100 bags] hiding in my tea cabinet [almost 4 years later]. I think this is an interesting combination, you don’t normally see blueberry paired with a black tea. The blueberry is pretty subtle and gives the tea a slightly tart flavor.

drank Ginger by Yogi Tea

This tea has a bit of a bite, but I tend to steep it for a really long time. It’s great for an upset stomach. When I was off at school I ended my nights of heavy drinking with a cup of this so I didn’t wake up with a sour stomach the next day. I couldn’t drink this every day, but it serves its purpose wonderfully.

This is actually one of my favorite teas from Yogi, I drank it every day for a long time when I was cutting back on caffeine. It really doesn’t taste anything like kombucha, which is a plus in my book because I don’t care for it. It does have a slightly fruity flavor which I like. Another thing to note, I wouldn’t drink it for the benefits associated with kombucha because you only get that from a live bacteria/yeast which this is not.

This was my first time drinking Lapsang Souchong. I saw a box a the supermarket so had to pick it up. I didn’t know what to expect so the smokey flavor threw me for awhile. Half a box later and I’m a huge fan. I like to pull this out in the fall when it starts cooling off, it definitely isn’t one I’d drink every day, but it never fails to remind me of the way my house smelled when I was a kid [we had a wood stove in the kitchen that heated the house].

I’m on the fence about this one, but mostly because it is rooibos and I’m not a huge fan. I like that its a more mild rooibos flavor and most of what you taste is spicy with a subtle hint of peach, a little to subtle if you ask me. I’d love to have more peach taste out of this one.

drank Relaxed Mind by Yogi Tea

I’ve come across two teas from Yogi that I just don’t care for and this is one of them. The taste I get from it is overwhelmingly sage and not so much lavender. Since I’ve got most of a box left I tend to drink this one when I’m sick and can’t taste a thing. No sense in wasting good tea when I can’t taste it anyway.

drank African Rooibos by Twinings

I saw this on the shelf a while back while I was traveling and since it was something I couldn’t find where I was living at the time I brought it home with me. It’s hard to rate this tea because after trying other rooibos teas I’ve decided that I just don’t care for them. It isn’t bad, it isn’t my favorite of the rooibos that I’ve tried, but I just can’t drink this on a regular basis.

This was pretty disappointing for me because I love Yogi tea and I was expecting this to be as yummy as the rest. I tried it plain first and then dressed it up with some milk and sugar which didn’t really help the taste much. I just couldn’t get into this one.

I am always interested in swapping so if you see anything in my cupboard that you want to try just send me a message. Please keep in mind that I order most of my teas in sample sizes and may not have a lot to swap. I’m also trying to keep my swaps limited to one a month so I don’t break the bank.

My favorite tea companies to order from are American Tea Room, Rishi, TeaVivre, and Single Origin Teas, however I am constantly lured away from my favorites by a good sale.

Ingredients I love in tea
rose, peach, oolong, osmanthus, vanilla, marshmallow root and peppermint

Ingredients I dislike in tea:
spearmint, chocolate, orange, hibiscus, sage and for the most part lemon.

I am a firm believer that sage only belongs in my thanksgiving stuffing/dressing and absolutely not in my tea.

Allergies
Cinnamon, Chocolate, Burdock Root, and Goji Berries

Teawares:
FORLIFE Curve Teapot, 24oz
Adagio ingenuiTEA, 16oz
Adagio Iced ingenuiTEA, 32oz
Zojirushi Water Pot, 4L
Libbey Country Fair drinking jars for ice tea
TeaVivre Travel Gaiwan

Rating Guidelines:

100 – 90: Pantry essential and some of my all time favorites that I can’t live without.

89 – 80: You’ll have a pretty good chance of finding this is my pantry on a regular basis, but it isn’t the end of the world if I run out.

79 – 70: I might consider restocking this at some point if the price was right.

69 – 40: Not undrinkable, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it again.

39 – 20: What in the world were they thinking? Probably still finished this just because I hate to waste anything.

19 – 0: Wow, that’s so terrible chances are pretty good I dumped it out and gave away the rest.

My current top five favorite teas:

China Black – Rishi Tea
Earl Grey Cream – Zen Tea
Lemoncello – American Tea Room
Nonpareil Anxi Qing Xiang TieGuanYin Oolong – TeaVivre
White Tea Rose Mélange – Rishi Tea
