I haven’t been posting much lately, life certainly has a way of getting in the way.
I really can’t say enough about this tea. An excellent sencha for the price. It always hits the right spot.

A full-bodied, deep-steamed sencha from Lupicia. The flavor is complex and has a thickness to it, but is still refreshing. Normally I like light-steamed or medium-steamed green teas, but this one is very good, too.

It’s been a while since I have drank this (I have been consuming other teas that have been building up in the cupboard). Like putting on a soft, broken-in shoe, this tea means comfort!

いもくりかぼ茶が大好き! This tea has such a nice warm, sweet, nutty flavor. Not candy-sweet, but starchy-sweet, like sweet potatoes (pieces of which are scattered throughout the tea). It brings to mind fallen acorns, crispy-golden leaves, the earthy scent and senses of autumn.

My first time trying this sencha from Lupicia. The tea is a deep green color with a nice amount of matter in the bottom of the cup (not too much, not too little). The tea is grassy with a full, round, mellow flavor.

Mild, grassy, delicate. A great tea for sipping while relaxing in a quiet moment.

A softer flavor this time, rounder. Warm-grassy, compared to a sharp-grassy. Still very good.

Usually I don’t like flavored green teas, but I have been very happy with what Lupicia has available. This Tsugaru Green tea has just the right aroma and flavor of apples from the Tsugaru region of Aomori, Japan. The green tea base is not bitter nor bland, neither does it overwhelm the fruit. The flavor is slightly tart but not overwhelmingly so. I like it a lot.
