271 Tasting Notes
And more Ctc bop or the little buds Im not a fan of. Ive found the flavor is helped out a lot if you use cream instead of milk. I have leftover cream just from the batches of ice-cream Ive been making lately. Anyway.. this didn’t taste any different to me from the original chai. You can see some saffron in it. But its over lowered by the tea that Im not a fan of.
I think the tea I have is just Ginger Orange, I think the Ginger and Orange is a different tea but I don’t feel like adding it. This is the least Gingery ginger tea of the bunch I have tried from Teekanne. The orange is what hits you, and then you taste a little bit of Ginger. It’s a nice combination. Would be fun to make a cake or something with similar flavor. Probably not anything I will be doing anytime soon though…Overall…nice.
Flavors: Orange
Turns out the Fennel tea is probably going to be the only the tea in the whole set that contains the ctc bop tea that I like. Overall I just don’t like the flavor but I am trying to finish them while I am on break since they keep me up for hours. The soice flavors in this one just wasnt as good as in some of the others as well
This is another sample that came in my most recent order….I think I’ve had this a couple times and never reviewed. It’s mostly mint that doesn’t really taste any different to most of the mints I can get locally for a much better price. I have drunk it hot each and every time, although I think this would be a nice one cold, I like peppermint tea more in the summer and iced. I don’t get the verbena
I could smell the fennel in this but not so much taste it… unless its that mapley note. I read you can make maple extract from fennel seeds. Anyway this might be the first ctc bop tea I like the taste of. Could be that I added cream and sweetener but I really enjoyed the tea when I drank it. But as usual, had the worst time trying to sleep after drinking this one. I need a different tea base…
Flavors: Maple, Spicy
Got this as a sample, bagged. Im not a fan of the silk- plastic- tea bags. Wish Harney would change. I’ve never been a big fan of chamomile tea. This is Egyptian tea, living in Germany I think the tea they sell is typically German. But Idk. They taste the same to me. Chamomile is a good one to keep on hand for soothing irritated skin, upset stomach, really so many things you can do with it! So I don’t like it, not really. I don’t think I would order the bags… but maybe the loose tea…If I ever got through the emergency box we keep on hand.
I understand Harney was in the process of switching to new compostable sachets when lockdown began and they had the machines but not the supplies and training. I believe they are trying to get new sachets underway now!
Hadn’t noticed this one in the store before. Its turmeric ginger…probably once of the healthiest teas… turmeric has a wide range of benefits and I think they are tiny bits instead of powder. Good for you and tastes good for you. Not my turmeric drink of choice, I prefer a golden milk with spices. But easy
Flavors: Ginger, Turmeric
I went to the states last month and was there about three weeks, somehow I did not bring tea. I considered it, but didn’t. Loose tea and travel seems to be a hassle. So… as an emergency I picked up this in Wegman’s. I wanted it anyway but not 80 bags which is all I found before. I got the 40 bag size. Adeles endorsement didn’t hurt either. She says she carries it in her purse. A little milk and sugar… not bad. There seems to be a lot of tea in the bag so it makes a really
Strong cup or a really big cup. Its nice. I want to get my hands on some more UK teas. We have a British store here, I just need to drag myself there!
This one sounds a lot more exciting than it was. I love Earl Grey tea. Not this one. More of the tea buds which I have since learned are ctc bop, i just don’t like the flavor. It also tends to keep me up. Better if you use less, but then it just doesn’t have the Earl Grey flavor or any memorable flavor. Unfortunately have a few more that have the buds. They are just not for me
