271 Tasting Notes
I don’t have much experience with puerh tea so I was excited to see this in a fun blend like Smores. I’m not a big of smores, they are too sweet and dry. So dry lol but I do like this tea. I guess chocolate teas can be good, this being the second one I like. It does have artificial flavors. Doesn’t really taste like Smores though, just a nice spiced chocolate tea. But not too spiced. I like it. Glad I have another mini sample. I made mine as a latte.
Not bad for a chocolate tea. First cup I tasted the chili but it took a while to click and realize thats what it was. Its not a spicy chili. Mellow. Its different and Ok, first cup I thought maybe I could see myself buying it full size. subsequent cups I thought it was nice to try and I would rather move on. Wouldn’t mind another sample but I don’t think I need a full size. Its more broken leaf than I expected too. The banana bread ok had full leaves although there were few.
Not a fan of this one. I don’t think it has much butterscotch flavor. Probably the real issue for me is I don’t like Rooibos with a lot going on. Bonus points for it using natural flavor though. One thing I am really noticing is Davids tea doesnt have much resteeping power.
Ok, David. I see you. This tea does taste like banana bread. I had the little sampler so it was two cups. And I really like it for the most part. Wish they left out the stevia though, I prefer my own sweetener. It does have artificial flavor in it. I did really enjoy the two cups I had but I suspect if I had a full size I may not have enjoyed It as I kept drinking so the little sample is fine by me!
Finally got my hands on some Davids Tea! I bought a few sampler sets. It has all the usual ingredients except it does have fig. Thats a new one! It also has quite a few spices. Unfortunately Im not a fan of fruity spiced herbal tea and this didn’t change my mind. Rather have real spiced cider instead. Didn’t try this cold either because In sure I would have not liked it!
Almost forgot to review this one. Oops. Nothing special though, it did say one of the main taste notes is onion, happy to say I didn’t get that note. Tended to be really light on flavor so I really went through this one quickly. Wouldn’t buy it again
Uodate- I got the onion wrong. Its not supposed to be onion notes but grilled peaches. I didnt grt that in my tasting though, might have to try another companies
How disappointing! I have never heard if Da Hong Pao having onion nites and I would be truly dismayed if it did. Big Red Robe should be an EVENT.
Onion? Odd.
Lol I think I got that wrong and read another description. I will have to get my hands on some by another company. Whoops
