Helpful staff, cute and small sitting area to have a cup or pot of tea and enjoy the bright atmosphere and practical, yet useful teaware and delicious aromas.

Also I went back with my husband to try the tea lattes…. chocolate macaroon was delicious! I love this place.

All I can say is that it’s dangerous living around the corner from this place…

The staff is always a pleasure to deal with, full of great suggestions and recommendations. On a recent trip, they helped me strategize what teas might work best with the new popsicle mold I was buying there. With so many options, there’s always something new to try each weekly trip!!

I went here a few months ago and fell in love with this place and its staff. The first thing I did when I went in was order a pot of tea and grab a seat. I overheard a manager training a new employee at the table over (I wasn’t eavesdropping, I swear! The table was so close that I couldn’t help but overhear!) and the friendliness shown made me want to apply there. At the end of their session, the manager even gave the new employee a kind of “Welcome to the family” hug, which made me smile because, seriously, I’d love to work somewhere that had that kind of atmosphere.

Anyway, after I had my pot of tea, I went up to the bar to buy some teas. When the SA was helping me with my list (I came pretty prepared, ha), he said I had made a good choice on the Vanilla Orchid oolong and then said I had to sample it. So he grabbed a gongfu set and prepared a pot for us right there! His manager even came over and said that she wanted a cup. He made sure I had at least three steepings so I could get an idea of what the tea was like. And he didn’t pressure me to buy the gongfu set at all which really surprised me, he just told me about the product – the whole thing was very laidback.

I can’t express how much I enjoyed the experience. The staff was pleasant, patient and really efficient. I can’t wait until I go to in NYC so I can visit again and pick up the gongfu teapot! (Seriously, I wish they sold them on their site. I feel like people are missing out.)

The staff in this store is AMAZING!! So knowledgeable and soooo nice! I was blown away. It was definitely a highlight of my trip to New York City, and I’m very happy I decided to go.

DAVIDsTEA is quickly becoming my new favorite tea company! These people know what they’re doing when it comes to crafting delicious teas. Almost everything I’ve tried is a hit. If you’re in NYC and have time to stop by the Bleecker store, I highly recommend them. Although they’ll give you 3 free samples with any online order, I don’t think there’s a way to specify which teas you want.

By going into the store, you can buy small sample sizes of anything they have in stock! I ended up spending about $60 buying 12 good-sized samples and a Noble Glass Travel Mug. A little on the expensive side, but waaay worth it! Each sample had about 3-4 cups worth and averaged $1.96 each.

My only complaint is that DAVIDsTEA doesn’t have more locations in the U.S. I believe they’re mostly found in Canada. I would love the convenience of having one nearby. It’s one thing to have great teas; it’s another to have such polite and kind employees. I truly had a memorable experience at this store and can’t wait to go back!
