Mmmmmm Special Dark! I love this tea! I got it in the mail yesterday evening along with my first cake of sheng, which I am really excited to try, but this tea was the one I decided I HAD to have this morning. I prefer to drink it extra strong. I steep 1 tablespoon for a couple of minutes. OH YEAH dark and rich! Like creamy unsweetened cocoa powder but with absolutely no bitterness.

I’ve never actually bought anything from Lupicia, but I’ve had the pleasure of sampling quite a few in Steepster swaps. I am really impressed with their fruity teas! I am drinking this hot, but it would be hella good iced in the summertime :) YUM!

I have a billion samples right now I need to try, but I also have around 4 ounces of this I need to drink before it goes bad, so I’m having a nice cup of this one this morning :)

I was in the mood for something chocolatey!

I only took a tiny bit of this from the box, just to compare it to the Golden Moon coconut oolong which I still have about an ounce left of. They are indeed very similar! What is it about coconut and pouchong together? YUM!

I’m glad I grabbed a couple of servings of this one. The black base is unobtrusive, and the Lychee flavor is natural and delicious. This would be wonderful iced!

I found this one in the tea box and grabbed a serving’s worth. Eh, its not bad. I like a good green oolong, and the peach flavoring is not bad. This one is just average in my book!

Tonight I was in the mood for a treat! I made up some strong decaf English breakfast, mixed in some of my chai mix in. THEN I added a shot of creme de cacao! Heck yeah!!!!

Final tasting from the October Verdant Blends Club box!

This one is really hitting the spot for me today. Very complex, but well balanced. It is herbal and woodsy and does taste like an autumn forest :) The mint is present but not overpowering…same with the cinnamon. Kudos Verdant!

Numi is pretty good for bagged tea, so I grabbed one of these to try. I was surprised to read that this is primarily a green tea, with just a hint of pu-erh! The magnolia is very intriguing! We have magnolias in our yard and I love the scent. The magnolia+green is like a twist on jasmine green, and the pu-erh adds a hint of rich undertone to the whole package. Very nice. I would love to see someone like Verdant or Mandala do a straight pu-erh version of magnolia!

Backlog from last night!

I think I need to play around with my steeping parameters with this one. I brewed it up a little weak for my tastes. Also, there’s a flavor in here I’ve never tasted before! That is always exciting! I presume it is the dandelion root.

Also? I know this is supposed to be caffeine free but I could NOT sleep last night! It could have been a coincidence, but man, it sure felt like I’d had some sort of stimulant.
