OK so in the description of this one it says it tastes like orange and passion-fruit. Then in the ingredients they didn’t list passion fruit. Bit it definitely smells like it. Quite strong. And promising…

Its light green and clear. Yes i can taste citrus peels and i can taste passion-fruit. Very yummy. Light. Fruit takes over the green tea taste but it doesn’t feel artificial or anything. It’s a very nice blend. Think this is my favorite green now. Well kinda hard to compare cuz it’s totally fruity. OK it’s my favorite fruity green. Just keep in mind that i have tried just a few so far (and mostly teabags)…

I’m not super dooper excited about it but i’d buy this one again.

Today is the black&milk day at work. Gonna give Earl gray a second try with milk. I didn’t really like the first try. I’ll make it stronger than normally so it should work better. Trying chrine’s recipe – 1 cup earl gray, 1/4 cup heated milk. Well without vanilla.

It’s not bad. It’s not english breakfast either ;) Vanilla would give it a good kick. If i had any.

Kinda like it…

Fruity, refreshing and dreamy…
Not one of the wow ones but sure one of the good ones. Nice evening tea. Pretty color as always.
Very nice long lasting fruity aftertaste.

Cheers!

Second steep. I added little sugar and one coffee cream thingy in it. Its good just bit too mild. Would be better with the first steep. Anyways, as expected, milk goes well with it…

Quite desperate starting a week with whiskey ay? ;)

I mixed it up with plain black this time (trying to make it last longer). Its good, just quite milder on the flavors. Should try steeping it longer than 3 minutes as it says. Still definitely in the category of teas i wanna have in my stash. Preferably always…

I wanted to pick a special one for my 100. tasting note. Flowering one makes most sense.
It was a random pick: Jasmine Fairy.

Hope it doesn’t taste very jasmine-like ;)

Tea is very bright and yummy. Like white tea that’s smooth and slightly nutty. And flowery. Nice flavor. I’m not getting the bad side of jasmine here. Flower is quite nice but i got pics and video to show that. I intended to film the whole opening of the flower but managed to f* up (pardon my bad manners) the process. So there’s a clip with just a bit of it and a pic…

Congrats on the 100th! I enjoyed the short video, but I’m not a big flowering tea fan, so the shortness didn’t bother me. I did like the music a lot :D

Oh, and I swear that you could put your little fishie teacup in any photo (ick level up to and including a crime scene) and it’d make me smile. It’s rather silly how happy it makes me when it makes a guest appearance in one of your photos. ;)

malomorgen

it’s a song by nick drake called sunday. his music is awesome to listen while drinking tea.i know bout the fishy cup – i get happy every time i get to use it. my fishies love to swim in yummy tea ;)

My laziness makes me make some wonderful experiments at time. This time i was lazy to heath up the already mildish water left after puehr.
So what i did is – i put one teaspoon of this oolong and like 7 or so leaves of that silver needle i bought big stash of. Both teas are just ok to me. Drinkable. And i was lazy to warm up the water – which i had just like a cup left.
So 1 teaspoon of oolong, one teaspoon of not so great silver needle in little over a cup of mild water for like 4 minutes or so. Its so tasty. Very gentle and light but omg yum. Like a very good white tea. Love it! Way to make one great tea from 2 teas that are just OK. I’ll be doing this again ;)

I always go for a lucky draw with the pu-ehrs.
This time the winner is… Kuding – raw. Kinda glad cuz raw’s ones are usually more drinkable.
Rinsed it twice and trying a short (25s) steep. Color is dark yellow and smells pu-ehry but way less than ripe ones.

Before trying it first a google lesson on Kuding:
Kuding tea (Chinese: 苦丁茶; pinyin: kǔdīng chá; literally “bitter nail tea”) is a particularly bitter-tasting Chinese tisane which due to their similarities in appearance is derived from several plant species. Two most common plants used to make Ku Ding tea, being the wax tree species Ligustrum robustum and the holly species Ilex kudingcha plant, the former being more commonly grown in Sichuan and Japan while the latter is most commonly grown and used in the rest of China.

So should expect bitter. Let’s see…
Indeed quite bitter pu ehr. I’m kinda starting to like the pu-ehr taste itself more than i did. Don’t think i could drink a lot of it but in small amounts it even suites me right now. I’m pretty sure i’ll find a pu-ehr that i enjoy drinking. Got some coming in from Life In Teacup. Maybe just maybe those will be the ones.

This one might be the best one from these samples so far. Even tho it’s bitter and bitter i generally don’t like. Raw is better than ripe for me – that i’m sure of…

Steeped the 2nd round longer – over a minute – and its even better. Bit darker now. Not so much stronger – more like smoother.

Pics (bit noisy cuz its dark in here):
