Still love the light and fruity taste of this tea!

I liked this blend much more than other Steepsterites! I had it iced which maybe diluted the strong lemon flavor. But, I love the subtle interplay between the lemon and peppermint. Both of those flavors can be overwhelming but , they seem to cancel each other out in this tea so that I end up w/a mild lemon flavor and the bitter notes of the lemongrass is masked by the peppermint.

This is a winner! Light and a subtle plum taste. Not tart at all. I had this warm but I am sure this would be great iced…I am definitely ordering this one. Wish more companies provided flavored oolongs.

Thank you Arbor Teas for sending these wonderful samples my way. I was quite curious to try a tea from Viet Nam and I can report that it is quite good. It is certainly not as brisk or astringent as other Assams I have sampled. Which is a good thing. I am trying to cut down my sugar use and I do not want some astringent tea that needs to be smothered in sugar to make it palatable. In fact, it was quite mild w/ a background note of molasses as described by Arbor teas. Possibly could work as an afternoon tea as well as a morning tea. Luckily, I still have some left and am looking forward to trying it tomorrow.

this is one sweet tea and no sugar required. which is a plus for me since I have been trying to avoid sugar. the coconut and ginger taste is quite mild so the overall falvor is one of sweetness w/a tad bit of spice or perhaps coconut…

drank Black Currant by Harney & Sons

Meh! This is ok. Nothing special. Sort of fruity but certainly not as flavorful as 52teas’ blueberry danish or strawberry zaglibione. This is not too tart, not too sweet, maybe best described as “dry”..like “dry” champagne. I am on this quest to eliminate sugar from my diet soo no extra sugar allowed. And this tea w/o sugar is just not that great.

I feel you – part of what motivated my tea explorations was trying to eliminate sugar (so, trying to find teas that taste good plain). If you like cinnamon, definitely try Harney’s Hot Cinnamon Spice – it’s the sweetest un-sweetened black tea I’ve found!

Like others have noted, this is a clean tasting oolong. Not bitter/not astringent and just as important not vegetative. This a is relaxing, very mild, slightly floral brew. But although this oolong is described as “dark”, there is almost no toasty/toasty flavor..but maybe this oolong was “roasted” just enough to kill any grassy flavor….

One of my favorite coconut teas. W the vanilla flavoring , the coconut is softened/sweetened. Having it iced now while I am watching the LSU football game…Go Tigers!

drank Peppermint Yerba Mate by Samovar

If I decide to have unroasted Yerba Mate , blended w peppermint is the only way to cancel that fuzzy hayish flavor of the mate. The more I sample mate , well, the unroasted kind, I just am not crazy for it.

gmathis

Mate and peppermint sounds like a weird combo—two really strong flavors competing for your attention, like wearing two prints that don’t match.

Lori

LOL! True but the benefit of the peppermint- it sort of smothers the unroasted yerba mate…

Just a few months ago the only tea I drank was hot lipton tea at work, an occasional mint tea, and sweet iced tea.. Then my daughter got me some loose leaf teas for Christmas and then, my tea addiction began…..

And what better way to get lots of dessert flavors w/o the calories?

I prefer my tea with a tinge of sugar. Is that cheating? But to me , the combination of sugar and tea is like salt and cooking- both bring out the natural flavors.

My tea drinking has evolved into a set routine: a breakfast blend in the AM, some flavored blacks during the day, late afternoon or evening flavored green/white, herbal (usually spicy, chai inspired) at night.

Not into unflavored greens/whites yet. Just started appreciating unflavored blacks and am thinking that smoky teas may become my favorite…
When I am not drinking tea, I am working as an engineer, reading, watching some of the better TV shows (like Damages and Breaking Bad), practicing my yoga, cooking, gardening, and spoiling my two miniature poodles (Coco and Timmy)…
