drank Mint Oolong by Naivetea

Like a creamy minty refreshing goodness. No mint leaves are in this blend so it must be infused w/some oils. But the sharpness of the mint is mellowed by the green oolong. And it is good for several infusions…

This tastes like a creamy pu’erh. More creamy than cocoa-y but very nice. very nice indeed, With the earthiness and richness of the pu’erh , no need to add any milk to give this a full mouth flavor. This blend has coconut BUT the coconut is not discernable. But this does not take away from the pleasure of this blend. Oh and if you are not sure about pu’erh this is a good, well great first one to try, as NO FUNNY, fishy tastes AT ALL. I have several teas to try from David’s teas and I am looking forward to trying them all.

I drank Cocoa Paradiso this afternoon and quite agree with you.

I lightly sweetened mine after the first few sips; the stevia brought out more cocoa.

Lori

Hmmm I will need to try some sweetener- these david’s teas are really good

This is a mint tea w a note of chocolate. Like a desert mint tea. Maybe it is the chocolate- maybe it is the peppercorns, but those additions give a mildness and sweetness to the peppermint. I would recommend this tea.

The sister tea to this one, Love Tea #7, is really good, too.

Lori

Great! I purchased that one as well..

this is an acceptable oolong. I purchased a sample as I am trying to “grow my palate” and appreciate greener oolongs. First, this one does have a discernable flavor. But like the previous reviewer, it can benefit from longer steeping times. It is quite mild and has a pleasant creaminess. I doubt I would order this one due to my personal preferences but I would definitely say this is of decent quality.

This one’s bright strawberry flavor puts Marco Polo to shame.

This is a wonderful white tea when cold brewed overnight. The dried fruit flavors are coaxed into a suprising butter-y flavor. Yum!

oh, I’ll have to try it that way!

drank Chocolate Raisin Black Tea by 52teas

First cup – very raisiny. Second cup- can definitely taste the chocolate. But the raisiny grape flavor predominates. As the brew cools, then the chocolate comes out. If you like 52teas buttered raisin toast, then you will like this blend. If it were even more chocolate-y , it would be perfect.

drank Chocolate and Cream by TeaFrog

The cream gives a “creamy” well (duh!) flavor to this blend. The chocolate flavor is pronounced as well. This is wonderful and a distinct chocolate flavor. This has become one of my favorite chocolate teas and have been drinking this one all week.

Hmmm.. I need to try this again. But after my first sampling,, this had a mild smoky, subtle sweet lapsang souchong flavor. This did not seem like a keemun at all. But if you like smoky and want an organic option, this could be a possibility…

I like this tea OK BUT the strong/bitter flavor of the hazelnut smothers the chocolate. To counteract the strong flavors, I have a tendency to add too much sugar to this one. I am lower my rating as this is no longer my favorite chocolate tea..

Just a few months ago the only tea I drank was hot lipton tea at work, an occasional mint tea, and sweet iced tea.. Then my daughter got me some loose leaf teas for Christmas and then, my tea addiction began…..

And what better way to get lots of dessert flavors w/o the calories?

I prefer my tea with a tinge of sugar. Is that cheating? But to me , the combination of sugar and tea is like salt and cooking- both bring out the natural flavors.

My tea drinking has evolved into a set routine: a breakfast blend in the AM, some flavored blacks during the day, late afternoon or evening flavored green/white, herbal (usually spicy, chai inspired) at night.

Not into unflavored greens/whites yet. Just started appreciating unflavored blacks and am thinking that smoky teas may become my favorite…
When I am not drinking tea, I am working as an engineer, reading, watching some of the better TV shows (like Damages and Breaking Bad), practicing my yoga, cooking, gardening, and spoiling my two miniature poodles (Coco and Timmy)…
