14 Tasting Notes
Green tea usually isn’t my favorite tea but I find I really enjoy this tea. On days when I’m not feeling my best or when I need some energy I usually make this tea. The ginger is strong enough to cut through my dulled tastebuds and fuzziness when I’m sick but not overpowering to where I can’t enjoy this tea on a regular day. The ginger gives me a sense of energy and revitalization.

This is my go to remedy for whenever I’m sick or when my throat is bothering me. I just got back from Dragon Con and between all the sing-a-longs and parties my throat is shot, but this tea has soothed my throat so well and really eases the discomfort. I also really enjoy the taste. It is a very strong, spicy tea but I like that about this tea. It gives it a unique flavor that reminds me of home-cooked meals at my friends house who’s family moved to Georgia from India.

I absolutely love this tea. It has just the right amount of jasmine to where it is not overwhelming but you can still taste it. There is also a good after taste which I love because I hate when I love a tea but the aftertaste puts me off. It’s my favorite tea to drink on rainy days or chill days to just relax and enjoy my time and my tea.

So I have to admit I was a little wary about trying this tea because I had never had matcha before but I actually enjoyed it. I made it with hot water and the first time I didn’t put enough of the match powder in but once I got the hang of the water to powder ratio I found myself enjoying the taste. The whisking also took me a minute to figure out but it’s very satisfying once you get it to froth correctly. The tea is a very refreshing, healthy tasting drink. To me it tastes like springtime in a cup, which is the only way I can think to describe it.
