I received this one in my grab bag :3 It smells absolutely amazing. The flavor is pretty nice too. Both flavors can be picked out but I feel like the mango shines a bit brighter. The base of this tea is lovely :3 I like this one but next time it’s gonna be cold brewed! Whewf. I can’t handle this summer heat D:
I honestly didn’t know if I’d like this tea because the aroma of the dry leaf really got to me. I hate the smell of cumin so I was super hesitant to try this tea. Steeped up it’s actually a really interesting tea. The smokey black tea is what pops out first, then a touch of spice, and after all that the anise and fennel. Surprisingly I really like this tea. The flavors blend well and it makes for a bold, unique cup.
I’ve been putting off trying my pu erh teas for a time when I can sit and relax. The first time I tried this one I could not get it to taste right. This time I steeped it for 1.30 at 212. degrees. Much better :3 It is sweet with a lovely floral note. The sweetness almost reminds me of peach or apple. It still has a soft earthy taste to it. I’m happy I chose this one today. Very relaxing.
Finally finished this one off! Today it made a nice, malty cup. A bit darker than the last one. Has a nice citrus zest to it. Like an orange peel or something . I like it but it’s not my favorite from Adagio. I probably won’t end up ordering this again just because it was nothing special to me and I think Adagio has a few teas that are better.
I completely forgot that I had this tea. I opened the tin and woosh came out a delicious sweet smelling fragrance. I’ve been hoarding this one and it still has a nice amount of flavor to it. The sweet marshmallow is there and blends nicely with the toasty genmaicha. Definitely a winner :)
I found a good sized sample of this in my sample drawer. I was pretty excited because I love silver needle! It’s sweet and mellow. I wish it had a bit more of that silver needle sweetness to it though. It’s a bit weak but it goes perfectly with my rainy day off :)
