drank Earl Grey (K-Cup) by Twinings
726 tasting notes

Because I’m visiting my cousins and bringing my loose leaf teas with me is just too much a hassle. This is the tea that I found in their cupboard sooooo Twinigs it is!
I almost never buy drink bagged teas because I don’t own bagged teas, only loose leaf sooo yeah.
Oh I can taste the difference. I feel like bagged teas are more… robust. They can get bitter quickly since the tea stuff is so small. What do you even call that? It’s not leaves, it’s like super super small. I DON’T KNOW. I DON’T DRINK TEA BAGS OKAY. Tea leaves are just more mellow and I like it. Easier for them to not over-steep. This since it was brewed in a Keurig thing, I can’t monitor the steep time sooo yeah.
Well. It’s good ish. I’ve had better teas.

(I’m sorry. As you can tell, I’m very anti-teabag)

Busy busy BUSY day yesterday!
Just because this is the only blend that I have that mate in it, I always think that it has the most caffeine out of all the blends that I have (since coffee does things to me..)
But yes. BOFUR! He is good and he has a very mocha-y/chocolate-y taste and he is good :)
I remember the first time I drank him, I ALWAYS experiment with my teas. See if it’s good with sugar and milk and stuff and I still laugh at myself. Don’t put milk in herbal teas. Even though I’ve done that once or twice before, I know I’ll still do it becuaseee… I’m curious.

So I totally wasn’t planning on drinking tea tonight because I don’t have a good collection of decaf teas and I have up be up early tomorrow buuuut I drank some hot apple cider and it was the NASTIEST THING EVER. It was way too sugary and gross. I think because I’ve been so accustomed to drinking tea, all that sugar was no good. I had like two sips then I gave up. It was gross.
HARNEY TO THE RESCUE. Jasmine is caffeinated. I don’t care. I NEED this tonight.

Ugh, I’m running out of tea to drink.
Okay. Thorin and company. I’m not a big fan of apple pieces in my tea so when I spoon the leaves into my cup, I pick the apple pieces out and eat them :)
I loooove the smell of this blend! Kinda sad that the gunpowder overpowers the apple when it brews

drank White Symphony by Adagio Teas
726 tasting notes

I’M STILL AMAZED THAT WHITE TEA COMES OUT SO CLEAR.
Okay. This tea. The last of my white tea sample pack from Adagio.
Smells grassy from the bag. Steeping, it takes on a more grassy/slight floral aroma.
Aaaand… it tastes like grass. Not as grassy as the silver needles, but not as delicate as Snowbud.
I think Snowbud wins my vote from the 4 teas in the sample pack

I’ve never had straight-up chai before and Monica has this soooo IT’S WORTH A SHOT.
I’ve had chai in blends and they’re soooo good. Wanted to try some without any additional flavours and YUM.

**Edit. Okay I drank it aaaaand I don’t think I’m a fan of like just chai. I like the chai blends, but just plain old chai turned out to be a bit bitter? I ended up just putting a lot of milk and sugar to try to fix it. I definitely need to get chai and play around with it more to like… make it good for my taste buds :)

Okay, the last time I drank this, I was expecting for the worst.
Now that I know how it actually tastes like and I KNOW it doesn’t taste nasty, I enjoyed myself! Really different compared to the other teas I usually drink. Give me a choice and rooibos would probably be the last one I’d go for, but I was in a very fruity mood today so I figured Elrond would satisfy that craving :)

It’s 9pm and I have an 8am class tomorrow. Done with midterms and I wanna sleeeeep.
Chamomile tonight! Oh dang. Haven’t had this in a while.
Not the biggest fan of chamomile, but it is a good sleepy time tea so chamomile it is!

Ori today because midterm is in an hour and I need some waking up to do.
I think I’ve figured this tea out! I just need a whole lotta milk because it’s a bit too nutty for me? It smells good, but the cream gets lost and I like that smell :)

Tea rating guide:
100-95: Best thing to ever touch my mouth and I want more. Restocking is a must
94-80: Love this tea. Restock if I can
79-70: Decent tea. Neither love nor hate.
69-60: I won’t be upset when it runs out. I’ll drink it but won’t restock.
59-30: I’ve done whatever I can to like this tea and I’ll finish the cup.
29-10: I’ve done whatever I can to like this tea. It may or may not have gone down the sink…
9-below: Let’s not even hide it. This definitely went down the drain.

I love tea.
I drink it.
I log it.
I have a good time.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

I first discovered my love for tea with jasmine teas because that’s all my mother would buy, so for the longest time, I thought that all teas were jasmine! And then in 4th grade, I watched the tea episode of Good Eats and that’s when the education started! I’d like to blame Alton Brown for starting this obsession because now I only like loose leaf tea.
It wasn’t until my second year of college that I actually expanded my tea taste buds. Special shout out to Cara McGee, Tea Queen for her Adagio Fandom blends. Because of Cara, I actually started drinking blacks, herbals and whites and pretty much everything else in between. I still have a special love for my jasmine though :)
I (try to) drink tea daily. Usually just straight up, no sugar or milk. This little obsession started young and just… kept going, I guess.

also I apologize in advance for lazy tasting notes and horrible grammar in everything I write. I was an avid fandom blogger on tumblr and tumblr talk can get in the way of everything kthxbai
