726 Tasting Notes
Sipdown of VariaTEA’s sample! But luckily I still have some more of my own :)
A nice cold brew. Dude. I pretty much need a cold brew every day because it’s getting hot so quickly. But it’s supposed to rain on Saturday? Ahh well.
A nice refreshing drink! I might have forgotten to strain it so it sorta brewed for an extra like 2-3 hours soooo yeah. VERY tart today but it’s fine :)

It’s freakin 11:30am AND I JUST WOKE UP.
Dude. This is my coffee in the morning okay. Nice and perfectly creamy with my vanilla almond milk! A sad sipdown, but next time I take a trip to Lupicia, I’ll definitely pick up a pack of their other flavours :)
Well, the tea does smell green and fruity out of the pack, so that must be good!
I love fruity rooibos so I have high hopes for this one :)
Definitely smell the mango and papaya dry and as it steeps.
OH WOW IT DEFINITELY IS FRUITY. I can taste each ingredient separately. The mango and papaya, most definitely. The apple is there, but you’ll have to go looking for it.
All in all, a nice blend. I’d like to see how this does as a cold brew so maybe sometime in the future that’ll happen :)
I’ve definitely had a tea like this before.
It reminds me a whole lot of Mango Lassi from Davids! But Mango Lassi, add chamomile, less papaya, and tons more tartness from the mango. This is a bit turned down version of that so I like this a bit more :)
Preparation
Cold brew!
In my little travel mug from Coronado and I’m sitting in the lobby waiting for class to start :)
This is my first tome drinking this tea, and I actually haven’t tried it hot yet. But this smelled like it would make a great cold brew and it is getting hotter and hotter so iced is a must :)
I really like it! I’ve never had pomegranate before, but I like the flavour with the mango. A nice refreshing drink for a hot day like this :)

Preparation
This was a tea that I wasn’t actually planning on getting.
I wanted to get another tea, but they were sold out of it when I visited. The lady told me that this was similar, just this was black and the other was green buuuut I caved and got it!
I’ve had it before (like years ago) and I thought it was okay.
But now, it’s just decent? Not the best tea I’ve ever tasted, but decent. I still have a dislike for rose petals but I didn’t think that the rose was going to stand out so much. I smelled the dry leaves in the store and it was good! But steeping, the rose comes out a lot.
Not my favourites, but still drinkable and enjoyable :)
EDIT: I feel like I really like my teas as they cool down a bit. The taste of this tea was really strong in the rose when it was piping hot, but after a couple minutes to let it cool, I could actually taste some of the other flavours! Nice all around :)

400th tasting note and I drank this hours ago but I never wrote down how I felt about the tea because I was skyping with one of my friends ahhh!
But I saved #400 just for this, because VariaTEA loves this tea so much!
From what I remember, this was darn good tea :)
I could taste each of the teas separately, and each tea brought out each flavour. I read the ingredients and was quite surprised that this blend had several distinct flavours, but dang it was good :)
Hopefully next time I have this tea, I’ll actually jot down what I actually felt about this tea instead of leaving to write it nearly 4 hours later! But definitely a great tea for tasting note #400 :)
Preparation
Tea. Sipdown. Apples and things.
I’ve got projects and things so please excuse this terrible tasting note haha
Preparation
Haha good luck on your projects. And the note is not terribl. I mean, you covered the basics and that’s what counts.
Hahha thank you! It’s week 4 right now so I pretty much have a project/midterm/paper whatever the heck it is every week till finals week :/ Ahh well, I’ve got the tea to keep me going :)
That sucks. Don’t worry though, you will get through it and it will be wonderful. Right now I am working on my very last final for my bachelors degree. I have already passed the class so I am so tempted to not do anything, which probably explains my slacking off until now when it is due at 9 am tomorrow. Ooops. Oh well. I figured I will do what I can and hand it in and whatever I get, I get.
From shmiracles!
I think I’ve finally come into realization that I drink too much tea. Like there actually is a thing called too much tea, and this lady drank like 1-2 gallons of black tea a day and her bones became weak soooo I don’t want that to happen to me! Yeah I don’t drink only black tea, and I don’t even come close to a single gallon, but you can never be too careful, right?
So I’ve decided that during the weekdays, that’s my tea drinking days. And weekends are my strengthen my bones days where I drink all the milk and eat all the vitamins to attempt to strengthen my bones!
And yes, this is partially because I’m taking a Forensic Anthropology class and I’m learning about our skeletal structure and the different things that people do and how it effects our skeleton and I’m just.. I DON’T WANT MY BONES TO LOSE THEIR MASS. Like I’m already tiny enough so I’ll do whatever it takes to keep them strong ahha.
Seriously though. In Anthro, I just think about all the stuff I do and al lthe stuff I eat and what it does to my bones. My professor warned us about this. About how we’re just going to be thinking about the fact that WE’RE DETERIORATING EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR THE REST OF OUR LIFE. It’s great. I highly recommend taking a Forensic Anthropology class if anyone has the chance :)
BUT THIS TEA.
Ahh I have so much tea to get through. This is close to a sipdown so I’m very happy about that :)
It smells nice dry. A bit like a sweet, yet dark candy.. if that makes any sense? It’s probably the blackberry and almond that I’m tasting. The hints of vanilla come out after, and it tastes like a faintly flavoured berry cookie. I could have done with a bit more blackberry and almond, and less vanilla because it’s a bit bland for me!
Flavors: Berries
Preparation
Wow! What a change that is going to be. Have you thought about matcha lattes. Maybe the milk/soy will balance the tea. I haven’t heard much about green tea being being bad for the bones.
When I was in college ( a million years ago) I had to take a class in Functional Anatomy and Physiology while I was a Special Ed major. They spent a LOT of time on birth defects. All of us were scared to ever have children and worried about every thing we did. So I know how you feel. It is a good thing to follow your instincts about making changes. Good for you!
