This is my first mulberry experience! After brewing I ate the berry in the infuser before trying the tea. Really stretching the tea dollars. ;)

Luxurious and creamy. It tastes like liquid butterscotch. Quite the sophisticated flavor. I won’t be repurchasing but this was a nice treat.

I couldn’t resist picking up some “blast from the past” online-only teas from David’s before my tea purchasing hiatus took effect. I haven’t been knitting as much and my yarn budget has been entirely transferred to tea purchases. My bank account looks like I’ve got a sugar baby and his name is David. I’m cutting you off, David.

The dry blend looked like it was 90% lemongrass so I was not expecting the flavor payoff that this gives at all. WOW. I’ve never tasted a blueberry tea that actually tastes like fresh blueberries. It does seem slightly artificial but frankly I’m willing to deal with that because it’s David’s and this is tasty.

(UPDATE) Lowering my rating a bit just because the aftertaste is weird. Leaves you with a super chemically taste which is a shame after how good it was.

This is truth in advertising. No-frills creamy citrus. I bet this would be divine in one of those teapop concoctions that I’ve been meaning to try.

drank Crème Brulée by DAVIDsTEA

Creme brulee is my favorite dessert, so I was hopeful about this one. Maybe too hopeful? To start with, this is the weirdest smelling tea ever. It’s overwhelmingly sweet, but also strangely woody or medicinal. It could possibly be the rooibos but I’ve never smelled anything particularly like this. The look of the leaf is also super weird with the long pieces of rooibos. They look like tiny pine leaves.

As for the taste, this one is somewhere in the middle for me. I do get the creamy, custardy note but overall it just tastes like burnt sugar. It improved when I added milk. It’s not bad, but it’s not terribly good? It smells nicer when brewed than it tastes. I’m regretting purchasing a full 50g. Quite frankly I can see why no one has recommended this to me in David’s or elsewhere.

drank Coconut Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

I’ve been in a coconut and melon FRENZY with teas lately. Something about those flavors make clear summer days feel closer. This tea is deliciously rich and creamy. The lemongrass adds a lightness to the taste that is much appreciated. I’ll have to try it with milk. This will most likely become the mainstay coconut tea in my stash.

A nice cinnamon apple tea. I appreciated that I could get this flavor profile without the addition of rooibos/tea leaf. I had to put double the amount of leaf I usually do to get the flavor I wanted from it so it’s pretty weak. I won’t be repurchasing.

drank Figgy Pop by Tiesta Tea

This tea is incredible!!! I’ve admittedly never had fresh figs but if they’re anything like this drink I’m going to love ’em. This tea is such a nice balance of tart, sweet, and creamy. I love mango which is an excellent addition to the blend. This has so much flavor. Not a one-note tea by any means. I often find that fruity herbals are boring but this is complex and delicious.

This tastes JUST like watermelon, especially when it’s chilled. It’s creepy how close the taste is to the real thing. Such a great drink when you’re pining for summer.

drank Palm Beach Punch by Tiesta Tea

I really was not expecting much from this one but it truly does taste like an unsweetened fruit punch. This would probably be phenomenal iced. The lemongrass balances the fruitiness of the blend. I really had no idea it would be this delicious, I’m kicking myself for just getting the sample! This is in my top 3 for Tiesta.

drank Melon Oolong by Lupicia

Quality green oolong paired with the sweet, juicy flavor of melon. Some sips it’s creamy cantaloupe, some sips it’s crisp honeydew. It’s excellent. I’ve yet to meet a Lupicia tea that I don’t like.
