We hade my parents in law over for lunch and made them this pie (http://strictlypaleoish.com/2012/04/30/chickenbroccoli-pie/) but with sweet potato not chicken as the mother inlaw is veggie, and these amazing fudge bites – http://pathtowellness.com.au/raw-cacao-fudge-bites/. I made a pot of this oolong to go with the fudge bites. Not only were they a perfect pair, but the consecutive steeps were a big hit with our guests. Beautiful as always, about to do brew 4.

So tasty I went for a resteep! Not quite as chocolatey this time, the black tea is a bit more prominent, but still yummy.

I got this as a sample sometime last year, and am only having it now. Dry, the sweet dry banana smell is prominent, but steeped, this is very chocolatey! Perfect for a cool windy winter morning. Very enjoyable.

I made this up in my timolino for my trip to the hospital today. It was deliciously warm and comforting while I was being prodded with needles. Hmmmm……

Kittenna

Ack! Prodded with needles?! Doesn’t sound fun.

lol says the woman who can’t stand needles :)

Hope things are looking up Tassie!

Yep! Blood tests and a medication I have to inject. It’s pretty run of the mill for me given my medical condition – http://mymissingfactor.wordpress.com/2013/06/05/needles-tea-and-deep-breathing/. I’m still waiting on the results of the bloods, but we were also testing my tolerance level to one of my medications, and that went very well.

I’m gonna go catch up on your blog next! I read it in its entirety last time you posted a link to it. I don’t have any medical conditions, tho I do work in the medical field. But I am going thru a period of major stress these last two months and it was a thoughtful and inspiring read to me.

I was also intrigued enough by your posts on the barre classes that even tho I live in a smaller city, I googled looking for a barre studio and was surprise to find at least two in town easily, and one had a branch in my part of town. I’m completely unathletic and clumsy and currently working up the nerve to call or stop by and ask some questions.

Chrine – thanks for reading! And if it helps, I’m quite clumsy too (with a bleeding disorder, I know, fabulous), but I’ve found that because barre works the stabilizing muscles in your limbs it makes you more coordinated. It takes a bit of hard work but I trip over my own feet less now. And I live in a very small city, and our barre studio was the first in Australia!

Another from my swap with Michelle. I still like this one, very mild chai spices, and a very soft chocolate which is more just a touch of sweetness, but its tasty. Goes well with the softer black base.

This is what my other half chose for me to have with breakfast. And it was a winner. Chocolate for breakfast on a Friday? Yes please! Goes great with a dash of milk.

Another tea from Michelle’s swap we did just before Christmas. Wow was that lovely Steepsterite generous, I still haven’t made it through her collection! Seriously, I’m never doing 2 swaps at once again, its given me too many things to try and I’m not sure I’ll ever get through it all! Yep, exaggeration of course…

Anywho, the lovely other half did my tea pickings for today, and he suggested this one. I’ve just brewed it up in my Timolino at work, and even though this is meant to be an iced tea, its quite tasty. I can detect each of the spices included (the ginger, rosemary and lemon), as well as a hint of the white base. Its a very easy to drink tea hot, and is going perfectly with our cool yet sunny day.

If you have some of this in your cupboard try it warm, its quite tasty.

And a third for the white tea on rotation mix. Not literally, all in different steeps. I’m almost out of my little bag of this one, so its on the order list! Just sublime, and gets sweeter and more beautiful with every steep.

I remember getting my first cup of tea at about the age of 8. Just a standard run of the mill black, with some sugar and milk to make it palatable to an 8year old. But a love was born and I’ve never looked back!

I’ve always appreciated the quality of loose leaf, and thanks to the discovery of the fanatastic gadgets at DavidsTea while on holiday, the tea obsession has grown! Is it weird to be ordering tea and having it sent half way around the world?

I’d love to do some tea swaps with people to try new teas. I have a bit of a DavidsTea range for any Australians interested in trying some DT goodness minus international postage fees!

Ive just started working at The Art of Tea , a small Tasmanian company. They dont currently ship overseas, but im more than happy to arrange swaps with people. their full product listing can be found here: http://www.artoftea.com.au/. (December 2012).
