Intense, delightful green tea that tastes…really, really green. Almost explosively so. Absolutely fantastic, would nom repeatedly. In fact, I need to get some into my cupboard, stat!

One of the most delightful chai blends I’ve ever tried. Definite hints of orange…really, it is pure sex. I’ll, um, be in my bunk…

Slightly more bite than Ikea’s blueberry Keemun counterpart, it holds up really well to the milk + sugar treatment. May be too bitey without the milk, though.

The blueberry flavour is there, but it’s definitely subtle. Adding milk and sugar enhances it, and it’s great for mornings.

It tastes remarkably similar to what you’d expect upon reading the description handily provided on the side of the bag of tea leaves. You can even see little pieces of the sponge cake and coffee beans when you’re measuring out the tea before steeping.

I…don’t know that I buy that it’s caffeine-free. But it’s definitely tasty, especially with a splash of milk and sugar! :)

Nicely toasted, more robust than their usual green tea. Only thing is, if I’m drinking houji-cha, I find myself really wanting genmai-cha. That’s probably just me, though.

It’ll do. I’d rather spend money on a better chai, though, if I’m going this route. More middling than any other Twinings blend I’ve tried so far…and I’ve tried a lot. Kind of disappointing in its mediocrity. At least it doesn’t suck.

If other black teas ease you into wakefulness, this is a firm boot in the ass. And possibly a slap in the face, all at the same time. It’s as though this tea is saying, “YOU. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU’VE GOT THE RIGHT TO BURY YOUR HEAD UNDER THAT PILLOW?!? OUT OF BED AND ON YOUR FEET, ON THE DOUBLE, SOLDIER!”

This tea? It is the R. Lee Ermey of the Twinings lineup. Sometimes, that’s totally what you need in the morning. Other assessments that mention it as a potentially great tea after a night of heavy drinking are also spot-on.

Smoky and astringent. I felt my sinuses opening just smelling the stuff after I’d brewed it. I may have to try it again to give a full opinion, but this was one of the few times where I’ve almost completely hated something on first smell. Hot liniments, Vicks VapoRub, and sickness. Eeee.
