1759 Tasting Notes
Oh man this is good! Thanks for the sample TeaBrat!
It isn’t your typical Darjeeling at all. No its much richer than that.
I was pleasantly surprised to actually taste all the things listed in the description. Usually I get one or two, but not all of them, or atleast not strongly enough that I could ID them on my own. But this! Well this is just bursting with layers of nut, fruit, butter, and toast. Kinda reminds me of one of those chocolate bars with the fruit and nuts in it, only without the cocoa. But not like a trailmix bar, because its milder and creamier than that.
This is definitely one I would reorder one day.
Oh my goodness. This is DELICIOUS! Thank you TeaBrat for the sample!
Rum is a funny thing for me, I don’t often enjoy it as a drink (bad experience back in college!) but in food, I adore it. Candies, rum balls, certain types of icecream. I just love the richness of it, and how it somehow reaches a depth that I very rarely find in food. And this tea, well it certainly does all of that for me. I’m so excited that it actually has rum flavour!!! Bare, the rum kindof hovers pleasantly in the background, but with just half a teaspoon of sugar, oh mama, she’s a burstin with rum. Hot or cold, this one does the trick for me.
I’d been putting this one off because I often find that rooibos dessert teas don’t measure up… tasting generically fruity or just overall “sweet” instead of whatever their description indicates. Also, I haven’t been drinking much rooibos or honeybush lately, and since I find they lose flavour quickly, it isn’t a good idea to have much on hand at one time.
No matter. When I do eventually place a Lupicia order, this one will be included. No question about that!
Banana! Nana nana. Bananaaaaaaaaaaaa!
After making a smoothie with this stuff I just could not resist watching the mini movie from Despicable Me http://youtu.be/XyycKC9rTYM
It brightens my day every time I watch it. So cute!!
Anyhow, I really enjoyed this in my smoothie. Avocado, blueberries, almond milk, an ice. Mucho yum!! Like the banana icecream I had as a kid. Not quite as tart as the candies. Also reminds me a bit of medicine only there is no hint of bitterness and I can’t comment on whether the matcha itself is creamy – next time…
So glad I finally opened it. I still have grape left to unleash in my cupboard. (promised myself I would sipdown a matcha first but I caved!)
I love banana flavoured things so I went with the robust level, but I think it would have been good either way as the flavour is very potent. Next time I think I’ll add some chocolate matcha or cocoa… oh man that would be ahhhhmazing. Yum.
Backlog!
This was good. So soothing.
For a long time I was not a fan of Keemums at all. Recently though, I dunno, I’ve been actually craving it!
There were some light creamy notes, with a hint of smoke and cigars, but not in the way I find Assams get. No this was sweeter with an almost candied finish. Not bad!!
First of all, why are there only two tasting notes besides mine on this tea?! Isn’t this the one that everyone was raving about last year? this and the caramel one???
Or is it just me that can only see two notes?
Heck I can’t even see my own and I know I wrote one because I ranted about how it was a bit too floral and not chocolatey enough for my tastes.
Bah.
Anyhow, I mixed this into a smoothie today with banana, avocado, kiwi, milk, ice, and a few splashes of OJ. Oh my goodness this is so good. A little zingy, a LOT creamy, topped off with a terry’s chocolate orange finish. Oh and a little sugar, since the “creamy” was a little overpowering. Not ideal but what can ya do. Anyhow, I ended up with a cup of…. well, YUM does not cover the bases here folks. Seriously.
Many thanks to Christina for my sample!!
This was quite delish. I underleafed a little because oolong can be a little heavy for me sometimes and I was so in the mood for something a tad lighter.
And it turned out great. I enjoyed the light coconut flavour, but it didn’t overtake the oolong notes either. Rather perfect for my mood!
I really like the crispness, and the slight floral aftertaste. Yummmm!
My only concern is that it wasn’t as smooth as I would prefer, so I ended up not steeping a second time.
I really need to check steepster before brewing up new teas. 2.5 min just isn’t enough! All I got from this was a hint of nut, not even peanutbutter, and some floral sweetness and then of course the honeybush.
I have enough to try again.
Thank you for the sample Lala!
This was just what I needed today. Yum. Very lemony, in an herbal sort of way. It feels cleansing.
The spices are nicely blended with the lemongrass to create a cooling and refreshing taste that I think would do well iced.
Also, I didn’t do this as a latte but it had that feel to it even though I only added a bit of milk!
Oh yum. It might be a tad weak, but I really don’t mind. It still packs a flavour punch!
Also, I noticed that cacao only stays fresh for a few months before losing a ton of potency. One of those that are best to keep in small quantities and refresh often.
Anyhow, the flavour is quite nice. I love the cocoa/strawberry hybrid. It’s nice and light for a dessert tea, but tasty enough that I keep going back for more! without any sugar!
I’ll definitely restock this at some point. Unless they come out with a blueberry version, at which point I’ll be all about that…
Flavors: Cocoa
Yay! glad u liked it :)
Thx! I really did! yum
