Had this generously sent to me by Liquid Proust in his intro to pu’erh package. I think I have messed up a fair amount of the raws I’ve had from that set, but I finally got a scale and this one came out really well! Sweet, a hint of bitterness, drying but not necessarily astringent, and very very long lasting. I got a nice energy from this tea as well! Really solid experience, I’m looking forward to trying more raw pu’erh with actual control over how much tea is in my gaiwan :^)

Hi there! I’m Drew from northeastern USA. At 21 years old, I’m slowly aging into a decent raw hu’man. Since first getting into “true tea” in 2016, it has become a staple of my life. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, but when I drink tea the frequency of both drops dramatically. Tea is a wonderful way to meditate, enjoy the energies of the world, and to become present in the moment.

Generally, I think I’ll try to stick to these rating parameters:

91-100: Absolutely incredible. Best taste and energy from any tea I’ve had. (NB: I feel like I haven’t had enough teas to put any I have had into this category quite yet)

81-90: I need to buy this stuff in bulk, because I’m in love with it. The flavor/energy combination is close to perfect.

71-80: I really enjoyed it, but something was lacking.

61-70: Not bad, but not mind-blowing either. I may not drink this specific varietal again, but I likely want to try other kinds of this tea.

51-60: Meh… I’ve given this tea multiple chances, and it’s not for me. Not offensively bad, and I recognize that some people may like it, but it wasn’t for me.

0-50: Yikes. You should consider not buying this.
