I’m going through my (OLD) advent calendar and thought, this founds yummy! Blech, I couldn’t even finish the cup. I’m not sure if it’s the cornflowers? But there was some weird flavour I couldn’t pinpoint and I’m not sad this tea is discontinued, lol.

I’ve had this tea languishing in my cupboard for a long time. I’m back into tea again, as coffee had turned out to be a big no-no for me. In the summer heat, I usually don’t crave a hot cup during the day time so I’ve been doing the iced thing.

I have a Takeya pitcher, but frankly I don’t keep enough ice on hand to brew with hot tea. I decided to try cold steeping, using 4 PS and 2L water. I let it steep for quite awhile (an entire day) and it’s delicious! I can taste the coconut flavours, and the tea still is delicate and not overpowering the other flavours. It’s too bad I only really discovered how much I liked it until after it’s long gone!

my new favourite tea – it was love at first sip!
The bright pink hue was a pleasant surprise. I normally can’t distinguish flavours very well- i can smell but never taste. However there is a definitive apple flavour, with a delayed kick of cinnamon and sweetness. So great without and milk or sweetener, although I got it as a soy latte with a little agave from the store and it was also amazing. Hands down my top tea from Davids. Must stock up before the season ends!

i loved this tea.
I am a coffee drinker by nature, but lately i’ve been trying to get into loose leaf teas. they always sound and smell so amazing, but i am usually let down because i am used to bolder tastes. (i think i need to try mate and pu’erh).
This tea, however, did not disappoint. I brewed it in my Libre mug, so the tea sat and continued steeping as i drank, releasing more and more of the spiciness, which i loved. This tea is a keeper and one i would go back for, which is not a frequent occurrence as i delve into my tea tasting adventures!

I’m a coffee drinker by nature, and I drink it black. I take my tea the same, rarely adding milk or sweetener. I’ve been trying to take the healthier route by delving into loose leaf teas, not to mention i love the ritual of steeping a cup. I’m searching for bold flavours, so i’m pretty picky. I find oversteeping is the way to go. I’m hoping the more I try and drink, I’ll be able to appreciate the subtleties more!
Please send me any suggestions!
