Amber color after steep.
Smells a bit of malt. Another reviewer mentioned sweet potato or yam. I couldn’t figure out the smell until then but that is it.
It is very smooth. Not bitter and no astringency.

after some cooling the sweetness really starts to come out.

Leaves are tightly rolled up into little balls. Smells really floral. Steeps to a light brown (white mug).

Sweet floral taste. No bitter aftertaste of the cheap jasmines teas. Tastes a bit dry, very slightly astringent on the tongue.

Dark amber color steep.
Very floral and citrus aroma, strong. But didn’t seem to come out incredibly much in the steep though. Will have to try adjusting the steep times and tea to water ratio i suppose.
bit astringent in the aftertaste

Got a bit of this from wegmans to try (from the bulk loose tins). Was just too grassy for me.

casey

I agree with the above. It must be an acquired taste. Not for me.

Got this at the local ‘Lotte Plaza’ asiain/international supermarket for pretty cheap. 10oz for about $6.

Steeps into a nice amber color. Has nice large leaves. 1.5 tsps expand to take up almost all the volume of a mug. Pleasant aroma with a hint of sweetness but not floral. Taste is the same.

2nd steep
not much change in strength of aroma or color.
still very light flavor. Will probably have to get more fine tune sense for flavor of this one (or it just doesn’t have much of one). Still not bad though.

Color: Honey
Smell: Slightly floral, bit sweet
amount: 2.5 tsp
leaves are large and don’t quite fit into a tsp very well.
Can’t seem to get much flavor in this tasting. Maybe steep longer or more leaf next time.
