377 Tasting Notes
Very strong aroma, both refreshing and warming, blends perfectly both ingredients.
Distinct liquorice sweetness is the first impression. Peppermint is usually quite assertive, but here it lurks in the background, not having the chance to dominate.
Good warming brew, but only for avid liquorice fans.
Flavors: Licorice, Peppermint, Sweet
Preparation
Very strong combined aroma of ginger and lemon peel oils, with subtler notes of pepper and liquorice.
Slight liquorice sweetnes in taste, spicy notes from ginger and pepper, very slight lemon. Peppermint is fortunately barely noticeable.
All in all it’s nice and warming, but not lemony enough for its name.
Flavors: Ginger, Lemon Zest, Licorice, Pepper
Preparation
Great balance in aroma, with aniseed, fennel and liquorice subtle permeate each other, a a bit of dried apple lies in the background.
The taste is distinctly sweet both liquorice and aniseed, bu fennel is also strong. Too bad the dried apples are barely noticeable.
Nice warming infusion.
Flavors: Anise, Apple, Dried Fruit, Fennel, Licorice
Preparation
Very refreshing, fruity aroma, quite balanced.
The taste is quite full, malty, with subtle notes of buckthorn and citrusy notes in the background. The tea is no sour at all, though it contains two sour ingredients.
Flavors: Fruity, Lemon, Lemongrass, Malt
Preparation
Nice, balanced mixture of bergamot, vanilla, cloves, citrus zest and an impression of slight smokiness in aroma.
The taste is also smoky and quite woody, dry, with all the spices and adjuncts in the background.
Good, solid tea not overdone with adjuncts.
Flavors: Bergamot, Citrus Zest, Cloves, Smoke, Vanilla, Wood
Preparation
Warming, soothing, rich aroma, full of spices (mainly cinnamon and nutmeg), the base green tea in the background.
But in taste the base tea is in the front, nicely complimented by background spices. The overall impression is very balanced, like almost all the Gemi teas.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Freshly Cut Grass, Nutmeg, Spices
Preparation
Very strong, spicy aroma. There’s really a lot of ginger here. The licorice is fortunately far in the background.
Very spicy taste, I didn’t expect that from the bag tea. The slight note of licorice nicely compliments the overall ginger experience.
Good one, extremely warming.
Flavors: Ginger, Licorice, Spicy
Preparation
Coconut and vanilla prove to be a great combo. They are quite balanced in aroma and they don’t dominate the base green tea completely.
The taste is rather dry, with green tea in the front and coconut and vanilla in the background.
Good one, not overdone, very balanced and showcasing the tea, not the adjuncts.
Flavors: Coconut, Freshly Cut Grass, Vanilla
Preparation
A lot is going on in this brew. And the ingredients are easily recognizable, they do not blend with each other. I can smell apple, licorice, anise, mint. The overall aroma is both refreshing and warming.
So is the taste. There is a minty coolness, licorice-y sweetness, and solid contributions from the rest.
Nice brew in itself, but I need to steep it along with some clean black tea.
Flavors: Anise, Apple, Herbs, Licorice, Mint, Peppermint, Red Apple
