What is your favorite tea subscription?

I currently have My Tea Box and Dollar Tea Club. My Tea Box always comes with a little extra and is nicely packaged so I always think it would make a good gift. Plus you can prepay for however many months and its not too expensive.

Like I said above, Dollar Tea Club’s tea is not the best but for what you pay, it’s a fun package to receive and explore monthly.

I had Sipsby which was interesting since its supposedly tailored to your preferences. That didn’t always feel like the case for me but I had it so long ago and they have gotten a lot more vendors since then. I also believe their questionnaire is a lot more involved which would help tailor selections better also. With that said and like I mentioned above, I had terrible customer service from this company so I wouldn’t recommend them in case something goes wrong.

The Dessert by Deb subscription seems more costly but honestly looks awesome and worth it. It comes with a lot of non-tea things though so perhaps that wouldn’t appeal to someone who wants to explore tea and isn’t interested in the extras.

I had Tea Sparrow and didn’t love it.

I had A Quarter to Tea and LOVED that so I am sad that is no longer available. If she ever comes out of hiatus, this is the way to go.

Also, Tea Runners has an interesting subscription box. They have several options so if you want just plain blacks you could go with that versus a caffeine free, etc.

I had Amoda as well years ago and enjoyed it.

I wish AQ2T was still available too. :( That is one that I’d jump on right now.

i went with tea runners as a present to myself, so we’ll see how that works out. What i really like about it that you didn’t capture is that you can go with say an all black tea box BUT every month you can customise your box so if your box is going to have say an EG barf you can tell them no…and substitute in one of the other teas (black or not)

also how have you not told me about dessert by deb box?!?

I live in the U.S., and I have a SipsBy subscription. I find that they send a good mix of good quality bagged and loose leaf teas, and I appreciate that they include unbleached paper bags so you can make your own teabags in a pinch. They seem to be mindful about partnering with small, independently-owned U.S. companies, and you can get discounts on their partner sites if you decide to order full sizes directly from them.
For $15 a month and free shipping to the U.S., I’d say it’s a good value, and I have gotten some truly awesome teas.

I’ve done a bunch in the past – my favourite of which was probably Amoda, though there were a several very basic teas that would be great for people new to tea but that I was personally uninterested in.

I had Sipsby for several months when they were pretty new, but also had a very negative customer experience with them and so I wont spend money with them anymore. Bad customer experience aside, I did really love the service though…

The only one I currently do is White2Tea – but not monthly, I only opt into the months that have teas I’m interested in (they show what the month will be in advance on the IG account). I find the value and quality very good.

I saw that David’s just started a subscription box. Doesn’t look like there is any way to set preferences to the teas you get.

I quite enjoyed my Tea Sparrow and Amoda subscriptions. And 52teas, of course.

Also, for straight teas, Verdant and Eco-cha are good, but expensive.

Side note— Eco-cha shipping to Canada is highly troubling. For some reason, it took ages, like really ages to get here. They claimed it was an issue fromTaiwan to Canada.
