Shipping delays from China

Japan Post suspended shipments in April. It looks like orders placed prior to or around that time are stuck in a massive backlog. Maybe Yunomi can track down your packages? Hope you guys get your orders soon. So frustrating!

My order from TeaVivre just got delivered today. Ordered it in late April. I used packages24.com to track all my orders coming from China, and I can see that the delay is caused by a lack of flights out of China to the US. Once that package gets on a plane, it seems to get to the US, and to me, in just a few days. The other two orders are stuck in Shanghai City since May 19. Hoping that they will follow suit as this one did a couple of weeks from now. My biggest worry is that the teapot I ordered from Bitterleaf gets here in one piece. Fingers (still) crossed. One down, two to go!

Just received my order from TeaVivre today also from China. It seems that the boat finally offloaded!! One order to go. This one is from Japan, Hibiki-an is the vendor. They said maybe 3.5 months!! That would put it sometime in mid July.

Just thought I would update this thread on the latest: I finally received my order from Bitterleaf today, originally ordered on March 17. As with my TeaVivre order, once it got out of China, I received it very quickly. Two down, one to go!

Thank you for updating! This definitely gives me hope.

It took 4 months for my White2Tea order to arrive. I ordered in early March and got it a week ago.

Placed an order with Yunnan Craft (Kunming, China) mid-June. Shipped EMS and the package arrived a month later (California) last week. A few weeks longer than non-COVID-19 times.

I placed an order late April with Teavivre and at the beginning of May for Yunnan Sourcing. Still waiting. Husband laughs everyday when I ask hopefully as he checks the mail “Any tea?” This is the longest wait ever for my green teas. I hope they’re not stale when I finally get them. If it hadn’t been for my orders from Taiwan Tea Crafts & Yuuki-Cha that shipped DHL , I wouldn’t have any tea at all to drink (except herbal). It cost a lot of money coming DHL but I can live with that better than the long long long long wait.

EMS shipping and DHL are the way to go right now. The cost isn’t too bad if you’re ordering large quantities of tea.

US based vendors seem to be impacted by the shipping delays as well. I’ve been waiting to order some dragon well from Verdant Tea but none of the 2020 teas are in stock. I order from them every year and I’ve never seen the spring harvest this late.

I am missing the Chinese spring greens so bad. At least I have the Japanese greens. I was thinking of placing an extra order with Yunnan Sourcing US but then saw your comment.
