Best online tea stores in Canada (up-to-date)?

I’ve found a few threads about online Canadian tea stores, however, most posts from these are from 1-2 years ago.

So, where do you other Canadians on Steepster order your tea from? What are the best online stores/suppliers? I’m open to good and non-Canadian stores with low/free shipping as well.

There are plenty more, but that’s all I can drum up at the moment.

Re Capital Tea – if you search for their website, there are two, one is Canadian the other is based in the US

The Canadian one is LIMITED and the American one is not.

Here are a few more, heavily skewed towards oolong. I’ve only bought from the first two:

Camellia Sinensis

Sebz Tea

Four Seasons Tea Co

Tealyra

Cha Yi

Golden Leaf Tea

Terroir Tea

Genuine Tea

High Mountain Tea Co

The Chinese Tea Shop

Treasure Green

World of Tea

World Tea House

Zhen Tea

You might also consider buying from specialist vendors located overseas, which often have cheaper shipping than ones in the U.S. For example, Taiwan Tea Crafts has free shipping above US$25 and their teas are reasonably priced. Teavivre has free shipping over US$30. Lochan Tea charges $10 for FedEx shipping, but their teas are quite inexpensive.

+1 for both Camellia Sinensis and Terroir Tea; I’ve had great experiences with both in regards to quality of the tea received and ordering from them in general!

Algonquin Tea Company has some really cool herbals. Banff Tea Company, Murchie’s, and Special Teas Inc. are also good. Silk Road Tea (http://silkroadteastore.com/) has higher quality stuff.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

I ordered from Tao Tea Leaf. They have a really good selection. Can’t say anything about the teas directly since I haven’t received them yet, but should be getting them soon.

Cheers.

Good choice. What did you order? Nosy tea people want to know :)
Vicarious pleasure and all that.

My recent purchase with them was four black teas, all of which I have been enjoying.
Possibly my favourite was their unsmoked Lapsang.

Note: I tend to order organic when I don’t know a lot about the teas. :)

Focused more on green teas as it’s still hot here—it was 40°C / 104°F for the past 3 days (but 16°C / 61°F today, as weird as that is). Should transition more into oolongs as the temperature gets cooler. :)

Thank you. What a great line-up!
Hope you enjoy them all.

I might do taste reports on them. I’m not super knowledgeable of tea terminology, so they might be mostly subjective though. :)

Jump in anyway. All our reviews are subjective to some extent.
