White tea

Someone said it’s a good choice for summer, I don’t know it’s right or not.
Do you know more about white tea?
Rare people enjoy white tea in my opinion,what about you?

I feel that you just can do with some % to force the message home a bit,
however instead of that, that is fantastic blog.

It’s a little frustrating that more than half the comments on my blog are from spam-bots. Sometimes they almost raise good points, or seem to drift towards making sense, but it’s more often generic and senseless.

About white tea, I like it. I had an interesting “wild” version from Thailand this year; long story about what wild means, since it varies from case to case, but this time it was forest-located untended older Assamica plants, I think. I was on a shou mei cake tangent earlier in the year, and tried a gong mei version, and a candy-bar style brick that didn’t have a name. Of course silver needle style teas also keep coming up.

I’m not so sure which season white teas match best with but I live in Bangkok where seasons don’t mean much; we have hot, cool, and rainy seasons, but they’re all hot anyway. I’ll pretend it’s cooler and make masala chai once or twice towards the end of the year but it’s really not.

I have heard some of the white you metioned above. It look s like white tea will nice for hot weather. Maybe white with light flavour match the hot summer will be better. I hope I will have chance to the southeast asian countries and taste the tea here.
You really know a lot about tea and give us a lot help I think.

I also really like a good cheap cup of bai mu dan, find a vendor you like and just buy a big bag of it and it always does what it says on the tin. I find good bai mu dan (which is easy to find) is better than bad Yin Zhen.

I dont care for yue gang bai ‘air dried white’ that I have tried, as it is malty. Stupidly I bought a big bag of it this year (only major tea mistake I made) instead of wild purple moonlight white (which is fruity, and in line with my tastes) and now I have to wait till next year. The moonlight smells like sweaty socks in the bag but so so good in the cup.

I need to try shou mei – I heard Chawangshop has a good cake of it but I need to wait now as spent so much money on tea
