Feedback about reasonable shipping times from TeaVivre to Canada

I bought a few things from TeaVivre in the BF sales. I received a shipping notice from them at the beginning of December, with the info in Mandarin or Cantonese. Here we are a month later and it is still not here. Before I bother TeaVivre, I thought I would reach out to Steepsterites to see what their experience has been with shipping times.

Help! Let me hear from you.

I’ve ordered from Teavivre half a dozen times. Our communications were always in english and arrival ranged from two weeks to a month, with shipment information provided within a few days of order. I suggest contacting them. I’ve had great contact with Angel and Mary.

For what it’s worth, I’m in NS Canada.

Thank you, Uniquity. That’s helpful. I suppose it is still possible that my package is bogged down in holiday post. I’ve been waiting over two weeks for a packet from B.C. and it is still not here.

I’ve sent them an email asking whether it is possible that my things were still in transit. To clarify, the shipping note from them was in English. However, the details of step by step moves of my package were in Chinese characters.

Holiday shipping has been surprisingly fast in some cases and impossible in others. Very hit and miss.

Ahhh. There is another website that a steepsterite recommended a long time ago that can be used to track things but I can’t recall what it was. I usually check it on Canada Post and if the number is in the system I know it’s made it into the country. Not a guarantee but better than nothing. Good luck!

https://www.17track.net/en. Is the tracking site. I use it for pretty well everything including services outside of China. Parcels from China to Canada have taken a little longer lately. Mytwo most recent parcels took 14 and 32 days respectively.

Thank you, All. I checked the track-all site and discovered that the last info about my package is that it left Xiamen on December 5th. According to that site, the package is still in transit. Canada Post has never heard of the tracking number. So, let’s see. Again, thank you for your help and insights.

Teavivre has two shipping options to the USA and I am guessing two to Canada, faster and slower. If you chose the slower free shipping that can easily be five to six weeks in unusual circumstances. I always choose the faster shipping option, it costs about $6 more than their basic shipping but it generally arrives in about ten days to the USA. I would imagine the faster shipping option has similar time to Canada.

The faster shipping option is actually only $2 more to the US. $3.90 for USPS fast shipping, $5.90 for China Post standard. One of the reasons I order from Teavivre is the shipping time is insanely fast. 4-6 days from China to my doorstep in Chicago.

Thank you, Allan. I think I was unaware of that. However, I probably would have selected the free shipping because I was not in a particular hurry and, well, free. I am ok with the shipping taking one or two weeks longer; I just want to make sure that the package is still in motion rather than being lost somewhere.

I think a lot of it depends on customs. Sometimes they take a really long time with a package. I recently watched them hold up a tea package I sent to Canada for over a week.

I’m located in Saskatchewan, and all my orders from Teavivre have taken approximately a month to arrive thus far.

Thank you both. I am in Toronto, either a curse or a blessing. I haven’t decided yet whether the post traffic here is faster or more clogged. Perhaps both, in turn.
