66 Tasting Notes

Today I was in need of some pain relief so I brewed a cup of this. I then promptly forgot about it and let it steep for probably around 25 minutes. Interestingly enough ,it didn’t taste like I had over-brewed it, and it didn’t taste as bland as usual. Not a bad cup, and certainly helps the cramps, wether it’s a placebo or not. :)

This is so strange—I could have sworn I knew where this tea bag was (I bought a sample off a friend) and today I couldn’t find it to try it. Hmmm…did I drink it?
It couldn’t have been that memorable, if I did. :/

My typical tea- drinking behaviors stipulate that I rip open all tea bags that I purchase and brew the tea loose leaf. This was brewed, tasted, and then enhanced with a drop or two of liquid stevia.
At the suggestion of Erin, I added milk (in my case, vanilla almond milk) to this tea, and it really helped tone the cloves down. I tasted it without the almond milk and it seemed ‘dusty’ tasting, probably from so many spices.
In any case, I’ve never purchased a tea where the main spices of note were cinnamon and cloves, so this was quite a shot in the dark. (And I LOVE cinnamon and cloves, so it takes a lot for me to say it was overwhelming.) It wasn’t bad at all, but it still needs a little something, and I’m not sure what it is.
But, in any case, it’s still VERY cuppable. Certainly not a bad tea!

So, I’m brewing a cup of this tea right now. I ripped open the tea-bag and steeped it in a mesh insert—I’m a bit touchy with tea bags because I’ve been very upset with them before.
This tea smells INCREDIBLE. Not a two-dimensional vanilla and ceylon, but something that is full and mellow and great. And now for the taste…
oh, WOW. This tea is listed on the tin as “Ceylon tea carefully blended with vanilla flavor”. With only two ingredients listed, it’s simple and yet so complicated in the sense that it tastes like there can’t only be two ingredients. (I’m sure there’s small bits of whatever else in there beyond ceylon tea and vanilla, but whatever it is, I like it!)
No aftertaste. And it comes is a gorgeous tin. <3 I’m in love.

So, I’ve owned this tea for a couple months now, and I’ve been too enamored of my caffeine-free teas to have tried it. (I’ve also been kind of chicken when it comes to Darjeeling, because I’ve had such bitter Darjeelings before that were not good at all.) Not too harsh, this cup is mellow and has a nice body to it. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed taking this Darjeeling to class with me in my Teas Etc. mug with the chinese characters—brews a nice, full flavor, (not over-developed!) keeps me alert, and the sight of real tea leaves always starts an interesting conversation with the students around me.
Adagio has done a good job with this tea!

I think this tea was decent—not the best white tea I’ve had, but it was still decent. I’m hoping to try a better white tea with citrus notes later on…but until then I have a tin of this stuff to finish….
(which really isn’t so bad—life could be worse).

This tea—while presented beautifully with a gorgeous box and had a nice teabag—had a dusty flavor that I was just not interested in. Don’t get me wrong—it’s so much better than lipton—but I expected better from a tea that appeared to have it all going for it.

I brewed this one in my TeasEtc travel mug—tasted the best in this mug. Still fabulous, as per the usual.
