This one was marginally better than the Osmanthus since it had more flavour, but the overall nuttiness was still pretty light and the only part that distinctly tasted like chestnut were the chunks of actual chestnut that were mixed in with the tapioca pearls. I didn’t love how mushy the chestnut pieces were, but at least it was an authentic and natural taste and it complimented the milk tea base. The tapioca in this one was also proper tapioca pearls and not the strange mochi-like texture of what was used in the Osmanthus. I still wouldn’t order this one again, though…

Tried a “new to me” bubble tea place earlier this week – they’re called World Tea House but I’ve made a different entry for them here in the Steepster database because they’re not the same World Tea House run by Phil in Nova Scotiia…

I have to say, this was an underwhelming bubble tea for me. It had a light honey floral quality to it but BIG emphasis on light. Really just tasted mostly like milk with these super strange tapioca pearls. Not the normal consistency of boba but more like the exterior part of mochi. Not into it at all…
