Finishing off the last that I have of this tea, and it is lovely. Sweet with just a hint of tart. Fruity but not so much that I can’t taste the tea. The spice notes linger in the background and are just enough to give this a really rewarding taste. Just delicious!

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for sending me a bit of this tea to try!

This is really very good. I can taste each of the ingredients, but, it is difficult to discern them – if that makes sense. They meld together quite well. I can taste notes from each ingredient, but, in this blend, they seem to create a ‘SUPER’ ingredient that possesses each of these flavors.

It is very flavorful, sweet with just a faint note of heat. Definitely Sassy!

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending some of this tea my way!

This is so good! The strawberry flavor strong for a white tea – but it doesn’t overpower the white tea. It is a nice balance. Sweet and fresh. Reminds me of the early days of summer when strawberries are in season and makes me long for strawberry shortcake!

Delicious!

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me a sampling of this to try.

This is a very good Earl Grey. As TeaEqualsBliss suggested in her tasting note on this tea, the bergamot IS a bit lighter here, it isn’t a strong, heady bergamot aroma nor a overly perfume-y bergamot taste. It tastes clean and fresh. It has a nice citrus taste that is quite lively and and delicious. The bergamot doesn’t try to overwhelm the black tea, which is in its own right rather mellow and smooth.

As I said, this is a very good Earl Grey – that being said, this is not a breakfast Earl Grey, or a start of the day Earl Grey. Instead, this makes for an excellent afternoon Earl Grey – perfect to serve at afternoon parties. A very pleasant cuppa.

This is a gentle yet flavorful strawberry flavored white and it’s very good both hot and cold. It’s smooth but fruity and fun. It’s NOT sour or tarty or puckery…thankfully!

I don’t know why I waited so long to try this one.

It sounds intriguing – would you recommend it as an introduction to white tea, for someone who does enjoy full flavours ?

TeaEqualsBliss

I would say if you are a strawberry fan, perhaps! If you are look for an intensely flavored white…this would prob be a medium strength one. Hope that helps!

I liked the the side recommendations of what to use the canister for after one is done with the tea. I’m currently using it to store teabags.

This is pretty good, but not great…I didn’t care for it much as is, was a bit tart and rough around the edges so I added 1/2tsp of rock sugar and a good dose of milk. Now that’s more like it! The milk really balances out the tartness and the roughness of this tea. I finsihed my whole cup pretty fast after I fixed it up and was looking for more! I don’t think I would buy this though since it’s not really my style of a tea, but I think it is pretty good once it has been “fixed up”.

I seem to be drinking more green tea than usual today…HAD to try this one! I have been looking for a nicely flavored Acai tea. Fingers crossed this is it!

Here are my findings:

It smells a little like juicy juice or a fruity wine. When I sip this I can still take the sweet-green tea but pair it with fruity goodness! I can taste Acai, Orange, Peach but can’t barely taste the ginger, chilies, and cloves which is completely fine by me. I think the reason for them is to make it so the fruit flavors are not over powering the rest of the ingredients. I think it also contributes to the lingering warming affect it has long after the sip.

This is great! I finally found that Acai flavored tea I have been searching for!

Woo Hoo! Maybe I’ll give this one a try when I get home :-D

I just realized that this place is just down the street from me! But I didn’t realize that in time and had ordered online hehe. Anyways, this is an AWESOME green tea! I was afraid the lemongrass or ginger would be too strong and remind me of a Thai dish I should be eating (lemongrass always reminds me of some yummy Thai food)! This tea actually surprised me and the lemon is a natural tasting sweet/tard lemon…almost like a lemon bar or a lemon pie, minus the crust taste of course. This is the first lemon tea that I was just drooling over and kept gulping it down. I bet it would be awesome iced or to have hot with some honey when you are sick :-D

I’m really liking this company so far! I have one of theirs on tap for today, actually!

-Jessica-

Yeah, I was really surprised by this tea! I bought their sampler pack and I think I will try the Earl Grey tonight…or perhaps the Vanilla Rooibos lol so many decisions! Or I might just stop by their shop after work, hmmmm what to do? hehe

TeaEqualsBliss

I tried the Vanilla Rooibos…I like it! Today I think I am going to shoot for the Sassy Green Tea with Acai

Vanilla! Sweet! Rooibos! Nutty! Lovely! See my other notes…I’m calming down to a cup of this right now.

Ahhhhhh! Sweet smooth vanilla…oh yes…this is really good. It’s more than just your stereotypical rooibos flavor…sure it’s there but it’s MORE and it is GOOD. Very good. Smooth and sweet and vanilla…I’m surprised I like this as much as I do – but I do…

WOW! I love this company’s website, logo, customer service, and eco-friendly packaging!!!

Findings on their Earl Grey…

nice, solid black tea scent – light on the ‘flavoring’. The taste is also a nice black with a little ‘flavoring’.

This is a more gentle bergamot flavored EG…so if you are all about the intense bergamot…this may not be enough for you. If you are looking for something a little toned down on the chemically-tasting flavoring of the bergamot – this may be something you would like to try!

I, personally, think it’s a nice cup. Not overly strong, however.

Another find from the World Tea Expo June 2010. I went by Village Tea’s booth at the closing of the show. I grabbed this tea because I had picked up no white teas during my trip at that point.
It was a busy day at the office so I didn’t keep track of the steeping times but I do know it wasn’t in there longer than need be. I had four 8 oz size servings – with & without sugar. The tea smelled like grass – very soft. Like a few hours after cutting the grass. The first steeping was without sugar. The taste was very soft & smooth. 2nd I added just a touch of Maui Brand Cane Sugar the taste picked up a bit but not enough. 3rd I added one cube of white sugar. Didn’t like the tastes more of bland then anything. 4th I added more of the Maui sugar & was very happy with the taste. Soft sweetness very smooth taste with the little extra sugar I added.
A bonus – I can mark this tea off of my Jane’s List (aka Teas listed in Jane Pettigrew & Bruce Richardson’s book The New Tea Companion book pg 104.)
I also had to laugh at myself as that I had forgotten that Village Tea included tea filter bags with the tea. I ended up using my Finum bags instead. So, I guess this is a note to self for the next steeping use their bags. =)

This tea is smooth with a sour twinge in the finish. It’s easy to drink, but not so much my style.

The recommended steep time is 4-5 minutes but doesn’t have as much flavor, so I added a couple minutes topping out at 7. This makes this tea much more flavorful where you can catch more nuance.
