I ended up with two big cups of this yesterday, I took a break from work to go get myself one and a few hours later when I met up with my wife, she had gotten me one too! . Best wife ever, folks. I love the watermelon flavor and I love even more that it comes from straight up real watermelon. Nom nom nom. So tasty. The oolong is a bit strong for me, but it’s still delicious. This place is bad for my wallet. Luckily I’m not in Square One but 1-2 times a week.
After work yesterday, De and I met up with the awesome Indigobloom who came bearing tea! Yay! She’s super adorable, guys. For reals.
I’m still half asleep…back to bed with me, methinks.
Oooh, but I do have new mates to try…..hmmm….
Yum yum yum. We are leaving in 15.5 hours (gah), so while we were running errands this morning, I stopped in for a cuppa this. It was delicious! I loved that they used real watermelon in the mix. The Oolong was a bit stronger than I care for, but all in all, this was way better than a coke and I feel better for having it.
Preparation
Sooooo good! but I am tempted to try the grape- every I ask, they are out of the juice, makes me wonder if it’s that good, to keep it out of stock all the time!
Yeah, the grape was very tempting, but I was in a watermelony mood. They’re running some kind of promotion, get six stamps on a certain card and you get prizes or whatever. He tried to give us the special card, but the promotion ends on 8/15. We’re coming back on 8/14 XD
Backlogging. We found ourselves in Square One on Monday, so of course we had to stop in and try this little beauty.
I am in love. This was so incredibly good. I love bubble tea, but the stuff from a powder, well, it tastes like it. And while I’m sure this one had its fair amount of sugar in it, it wasn’t nearly as bad as others I’ve had.
It was amazing, and I definitely plan to return…often!
Preparation
I was out and about all day, starting with hot yoga… so had to wait til afterwards before having any tea. As much as I love it, the stuff dehydrates me, especially the kind I was craving!! but the tapioca here made up for it :)
(that said, I never rate based on tap, only the tea)
It was ok, but they make it much better at another location I go to. Thus, normally this would get a much higher rating, but today, well not so much. They used far to much milk, and carnation milk at that! (which turns my stomach a bit, but it tastes great)
Oh well, it was still pretty tasty. Next time will be better.
Oh, and it doesn’t help that I have a raging headache now. Some sleep should fix it!
oh it’s bubble tea!! but Ten Ren’s uses premium tea, whereas the other places use powder or flavoured syrup
I actually live in Mississauga but work in Toronto. The location I hit up most is Square One, but this time I was at Pacific Mall in Markham. They also have one in China Town at Huron and Dundas St, and another at Empress Walk (I can’t recall what subway st that is, but it’s near the top of the Yonge line) Oh and there is one in Richmond Hill somewhere as well!
the Bubble Teas, attached to the Dundas subway (near the Eaton Centre) is also not half bad, but you would have to get the plain or honey green tea.
Let me know if you try it!! :)
My wife’s from Mississauga, we’re in Square One all the time LOL. We will definitely check them out!
me to. They have a Teaopia there as well, but I wish it was a David’s!
The Ten Rens is on the bottom level near the Baskin Robbins and Yves Roche, down a ways from the food court. Enjoy!!! :)
Heaven!!! I had this cold yesterday with tapioca. It hit the spot. Refreshing, natural flavour with the true gritty texture of watermelon. I will definitely be going back for more of this! If they didn’t add so much sugar, it would be an addiction that could bankrupt me. Ha!
awww thanks Aisling big blushes
you two were amazing as well!! so cute together :)
and honest to the bone nice people, just how I imagine you!
Hopefully we can meet again soon!
