Ash-Leeeeeee! Thanks :)

Sweet and mouth watering. Milky and creamy. A spec of natural saltiness…just a touch…barely there.

Very nice Milk Oolong!

Daisy Chubb

yaaay! Glad you enjoyed ^^

I keep reading great things about Milk Oolongs, and really must try some one day!

Peggie Bennett

I have some milk oolong, but I’m afraid to try it. I tend to forget that I’m steeping and I don’t want to ruin it.

Thanks DaisyChubb!

I was rather excited about this one – at first – then I looked at all of the THREE ratings – and they were all in the 30s!!!! Oye! I’m trying to keep an open mind tho! So…I noticed people complained about the burnt and bitter notes so I was short on the infusion. So far so good! This seems to work to almost rid those claims!

I’m tasting something creamy but not a lot of caramel and I’m not really associating this as an oolong based on flavor or feel – I wouldn’t be able to tell in a blind taste test…I guess.

It leaves a strange creamy-peach-butter-type after taste. Another strange trait is that post infusion the tea was cloudy – something I wasn’t expecting.

Not wonderful but I wouldn’t say it’s horrible either. At a gentler infusion time – like around a minute or so – this is sipable – but the flavors are conflicting and don’t really jive quite right. I’m not really a fan of the after taste but again I have had worse.

I found it to be more bearable than the other 3 people apparently but I don’t think I would buy it for myself or anyone else! I am glad I got to try it and I am rather giddy with my short infusion time that I avoided the major complaints of the other tasters.

On to the next :)

Absolutely fabulous. It tastes like that yellow coloured Trident gum. I DID say that about Pitta Ayurvedic from DT, but this is the REAL deal, it’s so much closer. Lovely balance of flavours, very flavourful hot tea. Haven’t tried it iced yet. As Nat said, no chemical tones which I tend to get from Tealish.

drank Bella Berry by Tealish

We bought this tea ages ago when we first went to Tealish because Bella is the name of the first cat that we ever adopted together, just after our wedding. She’s currently curled up on my chest, trying to distract me from everything else XD.

I love this tea. Every time I have this tea, I realize how much I love it, and then I don’t drink it for months, years. Ooops. Well, today is a sipdown of that first bag we bought ages ago and it’s as good as ever. I think this needs to go on our restock list. I won’t place an order just to get more, but if we’re already ordering, this will definitely be one to get more of.

Tried this one cold steeped at the Toronto Tea Party of Awesomeness and Sleepovers, and it was…okay. Like Tina said, the fruit notes were lovely, but the tea seemed off. This is a hot tea for me. Cold, I took one sip, made a face, and didn’t touch it again.

Tina S.

So that’s why I found it in the window! ;)

Made cup of this in my CRAZY AMAZING NEW THERMOS from Contigo (http://www.fenigo.com/ContigoAutosealTumblers.htm) before heading downtown to meet my fellow steepsterites. No seriously, y’all, that tumbler is freaking amazing. Kitchen Stuff Plus. $20. Worth every penny.

ANYWAY. Yum. I wanted to pick something the wife and I could share and this one won out easily. Delicious. We both just love this tea. It’s right up there with fairy dust. Hot or cold, this tea is love. Juicy and fruity and everything I ever wanted in a tea.

Tina S.

Damn you and your fairies! :P Now I have yet another tea on my shopping list!

Daddyselephant

I’ll bring you some on Sunday. It’s soooooooooooo good

Tina S.

Yay! Check out my cupboard and let me know if you want anything! :D

Indigobloom

It does look interesting, not sure I’d like the melon aspect. Funny that you and Jessie are the only ones to have reviewed this!!

Cheryl

Thanks for the mug link…looks like Amazon carries the brand, so it can go on my (ever growing) wishlist for now : )

After a few not-so-great tea days, I reached for something I knew would be good. Especially after the sadness that was my cup of Forbidden Fruit, I desperately needed some POWberry and WHAMmelon! ;)

This cup delivered. Now that I’ve broken the bad tea mojo streak, I’m off to try some of my samples from Teavivre!

I know I’ve been using “juicy” and “lovely” a lot in my reviews, but that’s what I’ve been craving lately.

And this one hits that sweet spot. Oh my goodness. Ooooooh my goodness! I love watermelon. I live for watermelon in the summer and yes, I will buy a whole watermelon and bring it home, even when I was walking to the grocery store. And I’m the only person in the house who eats it!

This is juicy and melon-y…yum. It does taste a touch artificial, but not so much so that it takes away from the tea. I am surprised with the full flavor with every sip! I was expecting a black tea with a hint of melon or strawberry. Instead I get POWberry and WHAMmelon! So much love for this…I may need to stock up before summer comes…if summer ever comes…

I have yet to find a good melon tea… Might give this a try!

Daisy Chubb

ahhh must get this one next! I needs me some powberryWHAMelon power :D

Daddyselephant

Don’t we all? ;)

TheTeaFairy

After reading your post, I now crave watermelon…I normaly don’t think of that large belly fruit in january, but now, I have to get me some! Will have to try that tea as well!

This tea is fantastic! It totally tastes like a hot cup of amaretto. It’s one of my favourite dessert teas, as the tea is quite sweet. The almond and coconut comes through in the taste quite magnificently, though the almond flavour is a lot stronger. Smells delicious too!

Yep, fresh and fruity. Mango and pineapple, fairly equally balanced. It’s the same sencha base I like in their other flavoured greens, but Coconut Blossom still takes the cake for me when I want a tea in this vein (the fruity sencha vein). Very tasty, and it’d be great iced. And mixed with Coconut Blossom! Yum. Too bad I never feel like cold drinks in the winter.

drank Deep Green Embrace by Tealish

I’ve been drinking Deep Green Embrace more and more – And tonight’s cup was positively delightful. It’s the peppermint that gives the tingle – It actually feels like I’ve washed my mouth with the best mouthwash ever made. This tea is no longer “relatively enjoyable” – it’s positively delightful. I’ve also noticed that drinking raspberry leaf tea really does help with all of those womanly things it’s intended for – So drink up, ladies!! Although the price tag of 9.00/50g is a little steep (especially for an herbal), it’s honestly worthwhile – It’s lighter so you get a larger size bag full, and it tastes unbelievable, if you’re into spice. Previously I said it wasn’t refreshing, but I take it back – I take it all back! It’s light, refreshing and I’ve relaxed myself into a near stupor with tonight’s cup.

This tea was not relaxing, but it certainly was refreshing. It has a strong scent and flavour of cloves, but I could occasionally taste the peppermint. It left a strange burning sensation on my lips and tongue – not unpleasant, just strange. I would only drink this one for the benefits of the raspberry leaf, or maybe sometimes at night when I’m looking for something spicy, like a chai, but I don’t want the caffeine. It reminds me of DT’s Organic North African Mint, although that one is caffeinated. This one seems to have some sharper flavours in it, too. All in all, a relatively enjoyable tea, when you’re in the mood for spice.

Sidenote: I’m very proud of myself for stopping by Tealish today! I was inspired by DaisyChubb’s Tealish reviews, as she recently recieved her order and was reviewing a whole bunch. I thought to myself.. I live NEAR Tealish… How come I don’t take advantage? WELL. Apparently I never went because it’s actually quite a mission for me. And, being the uptown girl that I am, I find walking through the neighbourhood its located in to be a bit scary. But once I got there, I found myself in the homey-est, most comfortable little tea store I’ve ever been in. I totally threw off my jacket and started sniffing – so much fun!

Awesome Ali! Glad you braved it ^^

AliPants

:D Me too!!! I just had to go for all those people who don’t live as close as I do! It was cool, when I went in, she was scaling out internet orders :-o

nomadinjeopardy

It really is such a great little shop! It always feels so tranquil in there. Like a tea temple.

AliPants

It’s totally a tea temple. Or a tea cabin!

Daddyselephant

Hahaha, what, you mean Doc’s Leather next door didn’t immediately make you feel safe and at home? ;) Tealish is getting better, much better than it used to be!

drank Earl Grey Cream by Tealish

Ohh maaaan youguys!
So I’m visiting my mom, and I used up the rest of this for a pot for us to share. Well she went to work (she works 3 jobs) at it was 9 pm… and I drank the rest of the pot. It was SO FREAKING GOOD. I haven’t made a pot of tea this good in a long long time!

And of course, I was up until 4 am.

She described it as a “tea OD”. At 3:30 am, soo tired but so pumped, I would have to agree. Beware the tea overdose! Daggg I am addicted.

Bonnie

If I was your mom I’d be hoping you were home doing Spring cleaning since you were so caffinated! Ha! Poor you!

Kittenna

Yeeaaah have definitely done that to myself a time or two in the evening. Really sucks when you have to be up early, but sometimes if I don’t have to be, I use all the energy to be productive and clean/do laundry as Bonnie suggests!

Daisy Chubb

haha it’s true! I have been helping around the house. I stick to the kitchen because it’s what I’m best at. Oh! And laundry. It’s nice being home and not having to plug in all my loonies when I want to do a load of laundry haha

Oh SOOO good!
I wish I had more of this!

Earl Grey Cream of any sort is my tea of choice. Can’t wait to coldbrew!

I had one cup on it’s own, it was full bodied and creamy to the max. The bergamot was strong, but not sharp – still so smooth. Oh man. Almost chocolately it was such a treat. THEN I put irish cream liqueur and all was right in the world. Put me right to sleep like a baybeh.

Janefan

Oh, I’ve never tried Irish Cream in Earl Grey! I will have to do that (I do know it’s good in Irish Breakfast though!)

Daisy Chubb

haha I bet! I would put it in anything to be honest, if the time was right n_-

Mmmm, I love milk oolongs. Loooove. Of the ones I have, this is my least favorite, even though it is quite yummy, so I’m adding it to the sipdown pile. Especially since RiverTea supposedly has a great Milk Oolong.

Even as I was making it, though, I began craving Birthday Cake from DavidsTea, so I knew I wouldn’t be coming back for a resteep. But the leaves had barely begun to open after the first cup finished steeping, so I poured them into my Mason Jar to let them cold brew. I love watching oolongs unfurl.

The tea itself is just lovely. Lovely! The roastyness of the oolong and the creamy milk….guh. Hands down one of my favorite teas.

After spending my morning on Steepster and wandering over two or three Milk Oolong review, I knew just what tea I needed to make when I got around to it. I couldn’t find my DavidsTea Milk Oolong, but I knew exactly where this one was and I am not in any way disappointed. It’s so creamy and fresh and delicious…Milk Oolongs will always have a special place in my heart. And I even took a break from my mason jar mug gasp So yummy…I can’t seem to put it down.

Yay! I am so happy that I like this tea! I agree with DaisyChubb, it’s not on the same level as DavidsTea’s, but it is very, very good. I broke in a new teapot with this today (a very sweet gift from the brother), and it was perfect. We went back for four steeps and could have gone for more, I think. It was very creamy and oolong-y and delicious. Definitely glad I bought it!

drank Lemon Meringue Rooibos by Tealish
570 tasting notes

I keep hitting the ‘notify me’ button instead of ‘review this tea’. They should really make the review button bigger.

ANYWAY.

My wife discovered that I actually do enjoy some cold-brewed teas, so we have set out on a quest to discover exactly which ones, and how much agave is too much agave. I’ve had so many in the last few days that I haven’t reviewed that I’m just going to do them all at once and out of order SO we’ll start with Lemon Meringue – which in and of itself is one of the few rooibos teas that I enjoy (I find rooibos just too naturally sweet – it sticks in my throat).

Unfortunately, I did not like it cold-brewed. I’m leaving my rating where it is, because hot this is delicious, but it turned bitter and pungent on cold brewing.
