I can’t really get past the black pepper in this…It’s like at the beginning of the sip it’s intent is to be a sweet yet spicy chai but then the idea gets thrown out the window into being all about the black pepper. It’s extremely dark in color and it’s a little artificial tasting in every other way but the black pepper. It’s weird – I can finish the cup but I can’t say as I like it much.

For some reason, this bag is really strong on the ginger today. I’m undecided on how I feel about this.

I have a meeting at 2:30 today that I forgot about. Best part? I’m the one conducting the meeting.

Grabbed this bag out of my work cupboard. The more I drink it, the more I like the ginger in it. Here’s hoping it helps me focus and get my stuff done!!

This isn’t in one of their pyramid bags, but in an individually-wrapped, classic tea bag. I didn’t know Tea Forte did such things, but when I saw this on sale (buy 1 get 1 free), I went for it.

Now, let me start by saying I’m not a fan of ginger. In fact, I avoid it as much as I can. It just has this horribly stinging taste to me. So when I grabbed this, I really didn’t think I’d like it (but didn’t want two boxes of Green Mango Peach tea).

This tea tastes primarily of pears, and the green, slightly-tart pears at that. Pear flavor is delicious. The ginger isn’t as strong as I had feared, but is still there and stinging my tongue a bit. Much better than what I was expecting. I can’t taste the white tea base at all for the pear flavor (it’s really very strong).

If you like both pear and ginger, this would be a perfect tea for you!

I really enjoyed this one! If you don’t like it hot, then try icing it. Very tasty!

It’s a decent black tea with cinnamon flavor. It’s good, but not something that I’d invest in.

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me this tea!

I have tried this one before, please read my review of it here:

Steeps up strong and has a pleasant enough flavor. Not the best English Breakfast that I’ve tried, but not the worst either.

A bit of a backlog here, as I was enjoying this tea while teaching my daughter’s art class.

This is a really good tea – it might just be my favorite from Tea Forte – I love the balance of coconut and vanilla with this tea.

Really delicious!

Am finally decupboarding this. It’s definitely nothing to gush about, and this final cup has a strange ginger taste to it. Hate to say it, but I’m kinda glad to see it go.

It’s cold, and rainy, and the perfect day to be snuggled up under a blanket watching old movies and drinking pot after pot of tea. sigh

I taste mango first, then the green tea, and the cup ends with a peach taste. Flavors are good, but I’m not sure this was the right green tea base to use. There’s a mildly bitter-peppery taste to it that, combined with the fruit flavorings, comes off as sickly sweet, like fruit that’s overripe. It’s not horribly bad (perhaps a bit much for a morning cuppa), but not something that I’ll invest in again.

Not sure how long it ended up brewing…was using my tea timer app and got a phone call, which completely turns off that app. Little over 3 minutes, maybe?

Regardless, this is a pretty nice tea. Scent is more peachy than mango, taste is more mango than peachy. There’s a slight grassy-sweet taste to it that I’m not sure I enjoy. I’ll wait to actually rate this tea when I’ve brewed it up at the right temp and for a length of time that I know.

I don’t think I steeped this right at all, but it is really good! I can’t taste the citrus much, but the mint is very clean and refreshing. Similar to Tension Tamer, but with less of the lemon taste. I only have one satchet, but would drink again!

I reviewed the Tea Forté Kati Cup and a few teas on my blog; here’s what I wrote about Chamomile Citron:

…The big surprise for me was how much I enjoyed the Chamomile Citron. I am usually not a fan of chamomile, but Tea Forté’s blend of Egyptian flowers mixed with hibiscus, rose hips, peppermint, lemongrass, lemon verbena and licorice root yielded a pretty pink liquor that was calming, delicious and addictive. I knew after my first sip of the aromatic infusion that I had to have more, and that it would become a staple in my tea chest. This sweet and tart brew was wonderful unadorned, but I added a bit of rock sugar and it was outstanding…

drank Green Tango by Tea Forte

I reviewed a few Tea Forté products on my blog; here’s what I wrote about Green Tango:

…Green Tango is organic green tea with mango. It features Chinese Jade Wing green tea with South African green honeybush and mango. The leaves smell like fresh fruit with a hint of the earthy scent of green tea. Once it’s brewed the pale orange potion evolves into a heady bouquet of mango perfume. The flavor is mellow in a pleasing way with a faint vegetal aftertaste of green tea that anchors the blend. Although it was definitely enjoyable on its own, I added a teaspoon of honey to enhance the sweetness, and that brought out the taste of the honeybush…
